Beautiful hotel. We only stayed one night as we were meeting up with my brother and his wife who had been there a couple of days with my elderly mother. My mother had an accessible room which was great for her. Wonderful service from a range of delightful staff. The dinner is the restaurant was fabulous. Not a cheap experience but an exceptional experience.

The property was in a perfect location to everything with only a 10-20 minute drive to everything we needed. Yet it was still in a quiet peaceful area to just enjoy watching a movie on the couch or playing one of the many games the host has kindly left. The place was very clean and the host was very lovely to talk to.

We had the most wonderful weekend at this gorgeous cottage in the Southern Highlands! The seclusion was perfect, with breathtaking views of the rolling hills and countryside. We loved watching the cattle and horses graze in the distance. The cottage itself was beautifully renovated, with a fantastic fireplace and additional heaters to keep us cozy. Our BBQ on the deck was the perfect way to spend Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and peaceful retreat with family or friends. 10/10 would come back!

Love the relaxing and comfortable ambience of the accommodation and the surrounding gardens - quiet spots to sit and enjoy the wildlife and a glass of wine. The garden areas were natural, not manicured. If you're looking for a resort style stay this is not the place but they are not trying to be. Our room was rustic, comfortable (bed, linen, couches...) relaxing and clean with thoughtful touches, bottled water, chocolates and a wide selection of teas. Loved that the windows could open to let in fresh air. Having a cafe on site for breakfast and lunch was so convenient. Had breakfast here twice and all choices were tasty. We look forward to returning to recharge again in the future!

Accommodation was warm and cosy with lots of opportunities to explore the surrounding countryside. Great places available for dinning.Sutton Forest Inn staff were friendly and meals great.Bowral was close by with many dinning options plus different shops.Easy area to get around lots of parking in Bowral.

Loved the autumn colours! Also loved the Thai Restaurant! Food was amazing and so was the price! Restaurants in Bowral were outrageously overpriced and portions were meagre! The Pauline Monastry in Penrose Park is a must see! Spent a couple of hours there! Beautiful church and the statues were out of this world. Saw the most beautiful Crucifix inside the church! Made one feel you were out of this world and in Heaven!

During Summer - PACK YOUR SWIMMERS and a picnic esky. Also the locals drive like maniacs, so take caution going through the winding roads of the national parks. The Lookouts and swimming spots are magical, so so so much fun and good FOR ALL AGES. Beware of the many many instagrammers who flock here scantily clad, sporting Akubra hats, designer tonal clothing and gold sunkissed skin. Take good walking shoes, sunscreen and WATER. The waterfalls and swimming holes are breathtakingly beautiful. Easy to get to (with a car). God bless Australia - we really are the lucky country!

It is a beautiful region very close to Sydney.

It is a beautiful region very close to Sydney. A good weekend getaway. A lovely place to visit for autumn colours. The Red Cow Farm in the area has a beautiful little garden. That was definitely a great find as we have been doing weekend trips in the area for a long time, but hadn't visited. We also went to the Illawara tree tops from here which is an hour's drive. I had a great weekend with my friends.

Staff were amazing; friendly & professional. Gardens & house is also amazing. Room servicing could have been better. We are in the restaurant, ordered drinks & snacks in the ‘Nook’ bar & were able to choose between various sites to sit & enjoy them, often in front of a roaring wood fire.

The property was in a great location. We were attending a wedding at nearby Montrose House- only a 2min drive down the road! The property was clean and the hosts were lovely and welcoming. Sutton Forest Inn was only 50m up the road- a great place for dinner. The beds were comfortable and we were very warm during what was a chilly and rainy weekend.

Lovely, historic rural setting! Complete w resident ducks. ☺️ 🦆 🥰 The food @ the cafe is delicious, & the venue is very close 2 Moss Vale, Bowral & Berrima. Wld also recommend dinner @ the Sutton Forest Inn (off the Illawarra Highway-just south off the Hume Hwy). 👏🤩

Amazing property and views. Handy stopover close to the highway but feels remote and so peaceful. Cottages were cosy with allot of history to them. Kitchen facilities basic so pack accordingly. Something different to your stock standard hotel. Check in/out was easy.

Kate restaurant is super! All the food are amazing. And Mount Broughton Golf club is just right next to the hotel. Incredibly comfortable. Very pretty atmosphere. Beautiful garden.
