Nice city. People are generally friendly & helpful. A lady staff at the town hall station was extremely helpful when we reached the station at night for direction to the castlereagh hotel on 30/11/17. Public servants in particular are primely important to make a difference for all tourist. Public servants are usually the first line of contact for any visitor to a new country. The gentleman who checked us in at the castlereagh hotel on the night of our arrival on 30/11/17 was extremely helpful and efficient in getting us into our room. He is a cheerful lot each day when we meet him at the front desk. Hotel is very clean and convenient. Hotel has a self service laundry facility at no extra charge, very useful. Room is a little small though, but, the service and efficiency of the staffs made it up to all. Kudos 💪🏼Castlereagh.. will return at the next opportunity. F&B, supermarket & shopping are all close by. However, the shops close very early, making it rather boring if one prefers to shop than drink or party! Luckily, the supermarket WOOLWORTHS closes at 10pm and that is a bonus for us. We love Woolloomooloo Darlinghurst, rushcutters bay, Pitts point and barangaroo.. each has its charm and flavour! Interesting architecture skyline too.
Best place to stay for the view of Sydney harbour is the North Sydney Harbour View, great public transport at your door, great walking/running tracks especially over the Harbour Bridge. Good comfortable accommodation in and around the city if you want to be right in the action with an average price of $150 AUD, you can pay more and I would if I was staying for more then a few days but if your there for the night life go cheaper as your only in the room to sleep. The down side is if you drive even though you pay good money for your accommodation you will also be hit with an average $25 per day for parking, I feel that should be included in the price. Down side is NSW still have the lock out laws so you need to find a good place you like before 0100h. Good idea if you want to be escorted around is to jump onto OZ Party buses and they will take you out for dinner, move you around on a Disco bus to experience up to 4 night clubs or pub depending on the party bus you jump on. During the day you can jump on the ferry to manly and walk to the Spit Bridge then bus it up to Military road and down to the zoo and make your way to the bottom of the zoo and catch the ferry back to the CBD, shower change and hit the many bars and Restaurants in and around the Rock or Opera house. If your after a great hassle free night out without the thugs hit the Newtown gay friendly area where everyone is there to party and meet new people. I found this area to be so friendly and safe to walk around. Great food as well!!!!
Rooms were clean, however, i didnt expect that the room is smaller than i thought. Pictures are misleading =)... but it's ok.The 3 of us fits ourselves in anyway.Bedsheets are neat and comfy, location is great it's just in the heart if the city. Very convenient to walk around. It's a good choice.. Thumbs up Sydney hotel CBD.
I often visit the Sydney CBD during long plane layovers. It's accessible by the train stations located under T1 & T2/3 which speed you to the CBD in 10- 15 mins, where you can either walk or use light rail to other locations. As a bonus, the trains can be paid for by a simple tap of the Opal terminal with your plastic cards (don't forget to tap off at your destination).
I needed a rest from the bicycle ride for the Cancer Council and got it. The pandemic has turned 6 months into over 2 years and l am completely Exhuasted. Truly, Brent Bu3 Ridegump on Facebook ( The Botanic Garden is a must ) Taco Bell, McDonald's and Domino's reminded me of home in the States. Thanks!
Public transport is the easiest way to get around, walking is also great if sightseeing. The Rocks have great cafes as do many small hidden arcades within shopping centres. Parramatta train station has as fantastic array of shops underneath leading towards Westfield shopping Centre.
Lovely staffs! Couldn't be a better experience! Best customer service you could get in CBD hotels. I've been to backpackers to high end hotels, but staff wise, this place was 5star! Every staff was helpful. Jandro and Pear were helpful and seem to remember every customers! (And all the other staffs were so helpful, extremely friendly!!!)We had such a pleasant time throughout all the stay, thanks to them!:) We got a surprising complimentary breakfast as well.
This is a clean comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Shannon was very helpful. We enjoyed the meals and having slept late after our flight enjoyed breakfast and great coffee at La Cantina just outside the front door. Getting to the airport was a breeze with the shuttle just next door. A short walk to Mascot station enabled us to visit the sights of the city without changing trains. I will definitely stay there again when in Sydney.
The proximity of the hotel to the train station, it's less than 2 minutes walk. It's very well placed - only 4 stops from the International Airport, and 4 stops from Circular Quay - central Sydney. Just opposite the train station, there's also a Woolworths to buy breakfast from, and quite a nice restaurant called The Butcher and Farmer which is good for tasty meals if you can't be bothered to travel into Central Sydney.
The location is excellent, right in the middle of the CBD. The Queen Victoria Building is close by and it’s an easy walk to Darling Harbour. We’re walkers, so we walked everywhere - the Rocks, Chinatown, The Phantom, playing at Mrs MacQuarie’s Seat. We arrived by taxi but left on the Airport train which is only a short walk from the hotel (St James Station). Breakfast is very good. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Stayed here for one night before I left to go home to the States. Hotel is only a 5 minute drive from the airport and they have a shuttle to drop you off (not sure about pick up though). They don't have an elevator so be prepared for that! The room was AMAZING. Also, dinner was FANTASTIC. Breakfast was okay for me, but that's only because I'd had the same type of breakfast for a week straight at other hotels.
The Ibis/Novotel at Olympic Park is one of the best hotels to stay at if you've booked an event at either ANZ stadium or Qudos Bank Arena. The hotel is great value for money, and you can easily walk to and from the hotel to surrounding venues in 5 minutes. There's also a stack of great restaurants and bars within 15 minutes walk of the hotel.
As our tours were leaving from Kings Wharf, this hotel is in an ideal position. The harbour view also was amazing. Room size is excellent and the bathroom is the best we have ever experienced. It is easy to move around and the shower is easy walk in. The bed was delightful, not too hard like some other top hotels.
The location is brilliant for what we needed to do - access to CBD, Surry Hills and Central, plus the airport. It is so easy to find and there are a lot of excellent eating options in the area plus a Supermarket. The staff were super polite and helpful. Coffee and tea in the foyer is a huge bonus.
This is a brand new hotel which offers exceptionally good suites at great location at amazing price! It is surrounded by the grocery stores, great places for dining and coffee and literary on the strain station that gets you to Sydney CBD in only 4 stops. Wonderful stuff, very helpful and kind.
The staff were exceptional, the rooms were on the smaller side but the use of space exceeded a huge room in other 5 star hotels. You really don’t need the space, when the room is designed so well. Bar up top is amazing, one of the best in Sydney CBD and it’s part of the hotel!
1. Breathtaking atmosphere from heritage style of building 2. Very good location for those tourist from inside or outside of Australia to explore sydney CBD 3. Bigger room compare to other hotels in Sydney(based on delux room) 4. Reasonable room fare
Awesome cheap accommodation just on the outskirt of Sydney CBD sitting on Wentworth avenue. Parking was one of the best choices we seen in Sydney CBD when compared to other hotels. The discounted parking rate was a big saving for our weekend away.
We liked the hotel, the room, the pool n spa, the location was close enough in a walking distance to obtain food choices out in the street and close enough to the wants and needs of people as well as the CBD at Darling harbour…
I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the CBD and I think the Grace has gone to no 1 on my list. Tastefully decorated, lovely comfy bed. Very happy with my complimentary drinks in the fridge (non alcoholic). 10 out of 10
It’s my choice of hotels to stay if I’m coming into Sydney CBD , I love its proximity to my Fav Thai restaurant . It’s one of the best value rates and always includes breakfast , parking is cheap at $40 too
Great location in the heart of Sydney CBD. Traditional Hotel with charm. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful with travel advice. Rooms were clean and service was excellent.
Great location to Sydney airport. Easy walk to and from hotel. If raining catch a hotel cab for $10. Wifi and streaming to hotel tv was super.
Location was excellent, great walk to Circular Quay. Easy access to train to airport. Great location in CBD. Staff really friendly.
Well run Sydney cbd hotel with good security . Fabulous stay ,very comfortable & lovely old world charm. Loved it !
