Host were extremely welcoming and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Unit was like a 'home away from home' and we wanted for nothing...nothing at all. Extremely comfortable throughout and to be welcomed with a packet of Tim Tam's....heaven. If you needed it...it was there and location was the bonus....close to everything Barossa.

An absolutely amazing experience, we stayed in the jacaranda suite upstairs and had a lovely time with Sophia and Leo. The location was perfect, the service was great and the welcome was warm. We will be back!
In the heart of the famous Barossa Valley, Jacobs Creek Retreat is an exclusive property offering boutique vineyard accommodations and organic wines. Most incredible place we have stayed, the garden is breath taking and the rooms are so cute!!! We can’t wait to return in the summer time to have a weekend by the pool!

Offering a hot tub, Langmeil Cottages is located in Tanunda in the South Australia Region, 1 mi from Barossa Wine & Visitor Center. Every room comes with a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The lady who owns it was most helpful. Explained everything when we arrived. And after more than a week travelling we were very thankful for the washing facilities and a fine day to dry the washing. The unit was spacious and had everything we needed.
Tanunda during spring was wonderful, very green and picturesque. Proud of our beautiful Barossa Valley and world-class historic wine region. The township caters for all one requires in a country community, great eateries, shops and a delightful base from which to travel afield to nearby townships and wineries. Menglers Hill is a must for a great bird’s eye view over the Valley and it’s spring colours and sweeping views of vineyards below. I love Seppeltsfield and the drive to and from it is spectacular with its exotic tree-lined entrance/exit. The family mausoleum perched high on the hill reminds me of an ancient Roman monument from a movie like “Gladiator” and is a perfect final resting place. We went to the new Calabria Winery and had a great wine tasting and platter there with great views over the Valley. It is a modern and well set out restaurant and tasting rooms which was packed out, so book in advance to avoid disappointment. The staff are excellent, knowledgeable and accommodating. We ate at the Tanunda Pub on the Sunday evening and it has been refurbished, is so much better than before and has the usual pub fare with some extras. The food and atmosphere is great. Check out the very beautiful backstreets which blend old and new housing and a glimpse of the past with vineyards scattered adjacent new houses. Walk around and enjoy the country atmosphere in Tanunda and you will be pleasantly surprised. The clothing, homewares and other goodies were great and housed excellent wares. Hats off to Tanunda and especially the old fashioned lolly shop with its flavors of yesteryear and today. Tanunda is a sweet confection.
The centre of the Barossa Wine Region with plenty of places to eat and very high quality restaurants - 1918 and AsianFusion were highlights. Easy walking options to the main street, shops, cafes and the Barossa Regional Gallery and also a short drive to beautiful scenic look outs, - the Steingarten Lookout is worth a visit and we also really enjoyed the Sculpture Park at Mengler Hill - also a nice look out. Of course the wineries are abundant and each with their own character. We loved our visit to Rusden, Seabrook, Lindsay and David Franz cellar doors and every where we went people were friendly and willing to have a chat and share their experiences.
Always enjoy visiting the Tanunda Bakery, walking around looking at all the different churches , our favourite wineries , and the food at the Tanunda club is always good Lamb blackstrap sensational The newish chocolate factory just out of Tanunda is not to be missed
Restaurants were great - especially 1918. Could always find eateries and wine bars open - great range of styles and pricings. Darlings cafe great for breakfast and coffee. Lots of wineries nearby. Locals very friendly. Wine great :-)
Wineries were nice, we had several meals at the valley hotel and Tanunda hotel. The only problem we all found was that a lot of places were not open on a Monday or Tuesday, and that they closed early
I enjoyed every minute of this stay in Tanunda. It was a seen relaxing couples retreat over christmas and it provided every form of luxury. We enjoyed a couple's massage eat Bali spa, dinner in the pub on the Main Street, wine tasting at Artisans, shopping in the visitor centre, Workers and the IGA which was surprisingly large and had a great range of produce. We walked the Main Street, even in the heat, it was a lovely walk. We wished we had more time to spend in Tanunda. We found the Discovery Park glamping tents to be amazing. The spa and pool to be relaxing and heated to a perfect temperature for the conditions of the days. The view from the bed, spa, pool and BBQ area were all devine and offered a new perspective from each vantage point. The glamping area overlooked beautiful vineyards, was set behind a creek, that though dry, offered some ambience crossing a bridge to get to the tent. The tent was situated among large gum trees and the sound of native birds was delightful. The stay was quiet and relaxing and the perfect place to stay. We would have loved to have stayed longer. I returned during January with my children to spend some time in a cabin in Tanunda and enjoyed the Discovery Park splash area and the pool. We enjoyed ice cream from the shop on the Main Street and enjoyed shopping in wohlers. Tanunda was a great place to stay for both families and a couple's retreat

Extremely comfortable throughout and to be welcomed with a packet of Tim Tam's....heaven. If you needed it...it was there and location was the bonus....close to everything Barossa.
We absolutely loved this place! It is really cute and homey. The yard is private and secure, our dog loved the garden. We would love to stay here again when we come back to Tanunda. If there wasn’t so many wineries and things to do we would have been more than happy to relax at the property the whole week end
LOVED the spa bath, the comfortable robes and the delicious treats - chocolate, biscuits, breakfast provisions, preserves... The bed was comfortable. Enjoyed the privacy and beauty of the surroundings. Finding L’Occitane in the bathroom was a delight. Fantastic location.
