Just 10 minutes' drive from Port Arthur, Four Seasons Waterfront Villas offers self-contained accommodations with an beautiful waterfront location. Billy- the host was the best we’ve ever encountered. Met us at the airport, took us shopping as we didn’t have a car for 1.5 days, drove us to port Arthur , always popped in to give us advice. Cottage in the best location possible, full of character, warmth and had great bbq area, tennis racquets, basketball, close to everything like port Arthur, blow hole, Tasman arch etc. just brilliant, couldn’t rate highly enough.
Located across the road from Norfolk Bay, Masons Cottages offers self-contained studios and cottages. All feature garden views and either a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette including a stovetop. Immaculately clean. Warm and inviting decor. Like new.
Just 5 minutes’ walk from the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park, Taranna Cottages offer a fireplace and a private patio with lovely garden views. It was very quiet and like stepping into grandma’s house. Lots of room and very comfortable. Bedroom, kitchen, lounge and bathroom. Hostess was very sweet and helpful. There is a museum, great info. As well as a petting zoo, great for kids to feed the animals.
Located in Eaglehawk Neck in the Tasmania region, Eaglehawk Bay Coastal Retreat has a garden. The property is 9 miles from Port Arthur and free private parking is available. The view and the location of this place is simply amazing ! You can enjoy the most beautiful sunset from the terrace !
There is enough close by to keep you busy for a week. On the way down to Taranna look for the Bangor Oyster and Wine Shed. Best Oysters I have ever had. Felons restaurant at Port Arthur was superb and Mussel Boys at Taranna do a magnificent wood fired pizza. Hobart is less than 2 hours away so Saturday morning go to the Salamanca Market and enjoy the great food and drinks on offer there. Be sure to view the Coal Mine Ruins, the Devils Kitchen, the Blow hole, the Tasselated Pavement and Tasman Arch. They are all free and more beautiful than the stuff you have to pay for.
Premises were clean and easy to find. Close to the water. Washing machine provided. A short drive to the Port Arthur heritage site. No retail premises in Taranna so if self catering, ensure you buy sufficient groceries before you arrive.
Phenomenally located and beautiful studio rooms with breathtaking views. Great option for Port Arthur. Pizza on site was also excellent. Our best hotel in Tasmania without a doubt.
The Lady that owns property was excellent see told us all about area and sent us to a great hotel for tea on Fri night. All our meals were large and wonderful.
