On our short Australia visit, The Henry Parks stood head and shoulders above all others. Check in was a breeze, all of 60 seconds. Our room was exceptionally spacious and could not be cleaner . Our bed proved more comfortable than my own ( must look at that 😀 )..if I have one gripe it would be the kitchen was sparsely appointed, however I put this down to my not checking more closely when booking. However we managed. Yes, I certainly recommend this property and would be happy to stay again were I again in the area.

Tenterfield is a wonderful location to use as a hub for visiting local attractions. The town has many arts, crafts, historic and culinary experiences to visit. The golf course is also picturesque and popular with locals and visitors alike. Thoroughly enjoyed Tenterfield and will keep coming back.

A friendly country town with a few nice shops for the ladies...

A friendly country town with a few nice shops for the ladies. A lovely Arts centre/Museum/cinema where they were very helpful in providing tourist information. Plenty of history and older buildings in the high street. Nice cafes to have lunch or breakfast. A museum at the train station is worth a visit and the surrounding national parks offer some great hikes, in particular Bald Rock national park. Not to mention wineries in the area also. Anice pub meal at the Royal Hotel where we stayed!

Interesting historical aspects.

Interesting historical aspects. I never knew about the tank traps until this trip. Fantastic national parks between Tenterfield and Woodenbong. Didn’t know about Thiunderbolt’s hideout previously. Great coffee.

Tenterfield is an attractive historic town on New England...

Tenterfield is an attractive historic town on New England Highway. Particularly during Autumn when the country is bathed in colour.It has good cafes,an old theatre used for communities and a picture gallery for past Australian Prime Ministers.Also the home of the Tenterfield Saddler and Peter Allen,who originated from there.Good parks,but be wary of speed cameras when you drive through.We visit often during the cooler months for the above reasons.

Tenterfield is a great little town with lots of history and...

Tenterfield is a great little town with lots of history and historical places to visit. Plenty of different levels of accommodation and places to eat. The hotels have great food. The region also has much to see and do including new off road biking tracks and National Parks, Bald Rock and Boonoo Boonoo.

A fascinating town - lots to see and do.

A fascinating town - lots to see and do. Beautiful old 19C buildings and houses to admire, an interesting main street, friendly locals, picturesque setting. And some great food on offer - Stonefruit a stand-out but we enjoyed others as well, including the golf club and Makers Grain bakehouse. Not enough time - coming back to try more!

Basic, comfortable enough accommodation in a fairly central location. 5 minute walk into town, if that. Stayed 2 nights. There was no change of linen etc in-between.. Continental breakfast was nutritious and sufficient.. Tenterfield itself, seems to have gone backwards with many a shop/business closed down. But definitely worth a visit if you haven't been before.

We had a lovely room upstairs. The bed was comfy and the shower was great in the ensuite bathroom. We had dinner downstairs in the pub and the food was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Across the road from the Tenterfield Saddler and a short walk to all the shops and cafes. Easy parking out the back.
