Location is great, not too far from the main street of Tumut, in a quite neighborhood. The home had all you needed, plenty of space and both fans and air con for the hot days/nights. Plenty of rooms and all necessary facilities for a great home stay.

Staff gave clear instructions and communicated via phone and email of how to enter property, key lock location, password as well for when leaving premises. Easy in and out. Loved the room, beds, lots of blankets during the cold winter in Tumut, and heated floors in the bathroom!!! (loved it). Clean and well presented. Pretty much in the centre of Tumut, with a walks distance from supermarkets and fast food outlets.

Renovated bathroom, surprise bag of breakfast items with "Just Right" cereal, Milk, Apple juice and fruit. The bed was very comfortable; the location is spot on in the main street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Well done, we will definatley stay at the Ashton again.

Tumut NSW is one in a million.

Tumut NSW is one in a million. A Country town with everything available here. No need to travel for miles to get services. People in Tumut are very forth coming to assist at businesses. Eating and drinking venues are terrific. There are plenty of scenic areas to visit daily. A safe town where you can go for a walk or bike ride and take your dog too. Frequent events are held throughout the year, check them out online for your stay. Best you can do is sit back relaxand enjoy the country and the no stress time of your life. Great for families, couples and solo travellers.

Our trip was to visit family. Plenty of food choices. We ate at The Oriental Hotel and Tumut Bowling Club. Yes it is easy to get around Tumut. Retail shops close early on a Saturday and not open on Sundays. The Montreal Community Theatre closed for renovations but there was Saturday night entertainment at Tumut Bowling Club. We would recommend the River Walk...good exercise

Tumut is a great little town.

Tumut is a great little town. It’s a great town to base yourself to explore the Snowy Valley. We enjoyed Yarrangobilly caves thermal pool. Highly recommend the river walk too. We also enjoyed Crafty Cider, who offers cellar door tastings as well as an animal farm with dogs, sheep, donkeys and camels! Adelong is only about a 20 minute drive from Tumut with a rich gold rush history. We also enjoyed the wellness walk at Pilot Hill Arboretum. Also, enjoyed a great pub meal at the Woolpack Hotel in Tumut. There’s plenty to do for a few days in very picturesque countryside.

Tumut is nice town near the Snowy mountains, Blowering dam and Tumut River. The hotels offer great value and good quality meals, my favourites are the Kinaree Thai at the Commercial followed very closely by the Star Hotel bistro. Tumut River brewery is also worth a visit as they have a range of very nice beer. Two Tarts make a great breakfast, great coffee and have a big range of nice looking sweets.

We used Tumut as a base for visiting Selwyn Ski fields. A good price for a bit further to the fields. Woolworths nearby and a small main street for food options and small stores. A good town to stop over

Tumut is a lovely town on the river. Very pretty.

Tumut is a lovely town on the river. Very pretty. We went there for the fishing, but it was not the best timing unfortunately. Enjoyed a nice break, exploring the town, and had a great meal at the Star Hotel.

The little extras that the hosts had left for their guests were an unexpected but delightful surprise. Everything from water bottles, milk, bread and butter in the fridge, to multiple types of cereals and even coffee pods were made available. The bathroom was spacious, modern and well appointed. Lots of towels and soaps etc. The location was excellent, with access to the centre of Tumut just a short walk away.

Stayed 3 nights at Blue Gum cottage. Stunning views of the countryside especially from the kitchen. Wet and rainy weekend but had a lovely quiet and relaxing time and visited family nearby. Great location not far from Tumut. Lots of wildlife; birds, wombats, cows and sheep. Cosy and comfortable. Good beds with electric blankets. Has everything you might need. Friendly and welcoming host. Highly recommend.

This is an ideally located and comfortable motel right in the heart of Tumut but it was still lovely and quiet. The proximity to the beautiful walks along the Tumut River and parklands is a definite plus. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Having a north facing balcony was definitely a bonus, overlooking the garden, pool and riverside precinct.
