A very pretty traditional style cottage surrounded by pretty garden in a tranquil location. The cottage was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. We loved the outside seating area for a sunny breakfast spot! Good proximity to Walcha and not too far to Apsley Gorge & falls.

We loved Walcha and its surrounding area.

We loved Walcha and its surrounding area. The town has everything that you need , pubs for food as well as supermarkets , coffee shops and three op shops of which I loved . Beautiful walks and lots of sculptures that are throughout the town . Could do with some more modern accommodation but it is a lovely historic town with gorgeous old homes and buildings .

This town has so much potential. Beautiful place.

This town has so much potential. Beautiful place. I pray someone with some vision can start to advertise it more, great potential for a 'destination weekend', wedding place, etc The town is picturesque, especially in Autumn with the beautiful trees in various Autumn colours. Lovely clean, organised town with beautiful art works and gardens throughout and big, wide streets that were absolutely immaculate and not one bit of litter or graffiti to be seen. I loved the smell of the wood fires burning through the town. The old RSL has been bought and now privately owned and would make an exceptional wedding venue. The food was excellent and it has a huge stage and dance floor-I was envisaging a "Barn Dance/Folk Music' night or a How to Host a Murder party. This town has such potential & I really hope someone pushes to place this dear little town on the map. Beautiful scenery, spectacular water falls, lovely crisp Autumn days and icy cold winters which are great for snuggling up in front of a wood fire and a book. Great place for fossicking for gold and sapphires too! History museum has such interesting things, including the Bushranger, Thunderbolts saddle! Easy to walk around town, safe with friendly locals, excellent places to eat and drink and incredible natural beauty. I hope it becomes the Mid North Coasts "Blue Mountains" and it begins to get more visitors. It is certainly a special place.
