Ilham's place is clean, comfortable and central to the historical centre. He and his wife are super helpful and friendly people who are always willing to give advice and answer any questions you may have. The kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook and the rooms are large with comfortable beds. Central, but tucked away into a spot which makes it calm, peaceful and quiet at night. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting to Sheki. Thank you immensely, we will remember you all fondly.

We were warmly welcomed with tea and delicious snacks. The family was very tentative and made us feel at home. Beds were comfortable and mattresses firm. Room is spacious and cozy with a lovely gas heater. The location is superb in a quiet old area and walking distance to most sightseeings - pleasant walk (15-20 min) to Sheki Khan Palace. Prior communication was very quick and efficient. For a real local experience, I can confidently recommend Ali Ancient House.

Charming hotel close to the main city attractions. There are a lovely patio and a nice restaurant with delicious food (reasonable prices). Breakfast was simple but tasty (eggs, sausage, cheese, olives, bread, vegetables). Room was cosy, clean and quiet (water, team and coffee, tv with plenty of turkish channels :), towels, shampon, shower gel, hairdryer). Staff are friendly even if not all of them speak fluently in english :) I recommend this place.

The location was good, it had a good view and a grocery shop nearby. The room was very clean and it fulfilled all necessities. The staff was very nice, especially Ms ilahe, she was very cooperative and made our hotel feel like home. Ms ilahe also helped with our transport to Gabala. Thank you for everything, it will remain in our memory for a long time

Excellent and well maintained heritage property. Three big bedrooms, two bathrooms, one powder room and one large living room and one fully loaded kitchen. Heating was adequate. The host greeted us for check in and helped us with keys, wifi etc. You'd really enjoy staying here while exploring Sheki. Ideal for large groups`

We spent 2 nights in Ilgar’s guesthouse. Our stay was agreeable: Room was big with private bathroom and the guesthouse was 5 minutes walking from the city centre of old Sheki. Ilgar prepared breakfast with homemade gem and fresh products. I recommend it ! 😊

Sheki is a quiet and peaceful town. The front desk of the hotel is a perfect man. He is very friendly. He prepared welcome snacks for us, copied visas for us, and prepared breakfast. I recommend everyone to stay in this hotel when you come to Sheki.

Right at the centre and wonderful staff. Extremely helpful. As a solo female traveler, I couldn't have asked for a better stay at Sheki. It's great for a short stay while you visit the town. Very good for the money you pay.

It was my first time to stay at hostel in Azerbaijan although stayed in many countries, everything was perfect, mainly the host family, they are so kind, cleaning is also perfect, ai highly recommend this hostel for everyone :)

The hotel was nice and extremely clean. Breakfast was decent, but a little too oily for our taste. Staff was nice enough as well.

Very good hotel for family with kids. You need to stay minimum 2-3 days to enjoy your time at Marxal.
