I was in the area to visit the Buzludzha Monument, and this hotel is right at the top of Shipka Pass, which means it was right at the start of one of the two roads up to the monument. I was there between seasons, and the proprietor basically opened up just for me, had a nice room waiting with a heater, and made me a lovely bowl of soup. Looks like this place would be super fun during trekking season, with a bar restaurant and game room, huge wood burning stove and pool table. Great off the beaten track experience, would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very nice house and amazing host! Clean, comfortable and good for kids. Good location if you want to visit cave Venetsa, Belogradchik fortress, cave Magura, Vidin, Varshets, Vratsa and Bercovitsa. Ani is the best host I have ever had. Thank you Ani and Ivan.

I recently stayed at Lion Cottage in Chuprene while attending the Balloon Fiesta in Belogradchik. Despite being a 20-minute drive from the fiesta, it was a lovely choice. The host was exceptionally kind and made my stay enjoyable with local recommendations about nearby caves and assistance. If you're looking for a serene and hospitable option near Belogradchik, I highly recommend Lion Cottage, even if it's a bit of a drive. It left me with wonderful memories and appreciation for the host's hospitality.

This charming cottage in the middle of a small Bulgarian village is adorable! You get the whole cottage to yourself, and it's fully furnished for summer (with outdoor tables and swings) or winter (with indoor dining room and fireplaces). The old couple who operate the facility are wonderfully nice, although they don't speak English. If you are looking to get away from the city and spend a weekend looking a stars in the country side, you can't do better than this place!

The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The staff was kind enough to not make a problem when we checked out a bit later. The location is nice with a nice view of the rocks. Liked the pool room.
