The city is welcoming, but unfortunately, during the week there aren't many restaurants open. The places that were open didn't offer the authentic Minas Gerais cuisine we were looking for. Typical Minas Gerais food! It could still improve a lot to accommodate tourists who want to avoid the intense weekend and holiday crowds. Good options for buying cheeses and local products.

What a lovely town!! Small and cozy!!

What a lovely town!! Small and cozy!! The people I met there were very attentive! The church was beautiful and played very peaceful music that echoed throughout the town. Great for a getaway from the big city!

A very peaceful town. Great for those seeking rest.

A very peaceful town. Great for those seeking rest. Easy to get around, even on dirt roads. We really enjoyed lunch at Janela com Tramela. We visited Pedra Chanfrada. There's a lack of signage and warnings along the trail, as it's quite dangerous (I don't recommend taking children or people with physical disabilities or who are elderly on this trail).

I visited several waterfalls.

I visited several waterfalls. I went to Chale Restaurant, 3 Orelhas Brewery, Sabor sem Freio Restaurant, Geringonça Queijos - Empório & Chocolateria, and ordered delivery from Santa Massa Restaurant. I went to São Francisco Bakery. I bought wine at Marcelo & Gonçalvinhos Bar. The city has a lot to see, I will definitely return.

The BISTRÔ DO VINHO restaurant is exceptional.

The BISTRÔ DO VINHO restaurant is exceptional. The cuisine is special and the owner, Mr. Paulo, was very friendly, speaking calmly, being delicate and attentive to detail, always very helpful in recommending the right wine. In short, we went for dinner and had a great and enjoyable experience with the food and wine.

The hotel is close to the city center of Gonçalves and the trail to the 7 Falls waterfall is within the hotel property, the other trails are within a 10 km radius of the hotel. The hotel staff is very attentive and helpful, a special thanks to Mrs. Fabiola, who welcomed us very well and helped to have an excellent stay.

Everything was fine and in place. Host thought in our confort and left amenties to the arrive and next day. The appliances in the room were new and in order. We enjoyed a lot staing at the Luts in Goncalves/MG.
