My wife, a friend, and I embarked on an epic 2,500 km drive from Buenos Aires to São Paulo and our last stop was in Mafra, the border city of Santa Catarina x Paraná state. Exhausted from the long journey, we booked late, but the experience that followed was nothing short of phenomenal. A Host Who Sets the Bar High From the moment I messaged her late at night after booking, the host, Fabiana, was immediately responsive and incredibly proactive. Her communication was flawless, ensuring our arrival was smooth and stress-free. This level of attentiveness is rare and truly appreciated, especially after a grueling drive. Unbeatable Quality and Value The property itself is a testament to quality. It is spacious, sparkling clean, and beautifully appointed—truly fancy looking without losing its welcoming feel. This house represents the absolute best value for money I have encountered in a long time. Exceptional Service - Above and Beyond We had a small, minor issue with towels very late into the night (after 1:00 AM). A quick WhatsApp message to Fabiana resulted in an immediate resolution. What genuinely elevated this experience was her response: Fabiana went so far as to offer a refund for the minor inconvenience. I instantly declined, recognizing the immense effort and investment required to maintain a property of this caliber. This gesture of integrity and commitment to guest satisfaction speaks volumes—it made me think even higher of them. Perfect Ambiance and Location We enjoyed a restful sleep on a nice, comfortable bed. The house is perfectly situated in the city center, yet manages to feel like a peaceful country retreat, complete with the charming backdrop of a rooster's typical morning call. To top it all off, we walked to the wonderful nearby Kuchengaus German bakery for a breakfast, complete with authentic bread and cakes—the cherry on top of our morning.
