Fátima and Celia both made us very welcome. We got in late with young, hungry children. They took us to the pizza bar across the road, helped us order and set up a dining room table to eat at. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We used this as a stop over between Bonito and Pantanal as the extra 30-40 mins on a road notorious for crossing animals at night. I would stop again. Located in Bodoquena, Hotel Fazenda Cachoeiras Serra da Bodoquena features accommodations with an outdoor pool. Complimentary WiFi is available. Most of the activities are free, like the waterfall trail. The accommodations are fairly simple, but clean. The breakfast and lunch are great and included in the price. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a playground.... Very nicely laid out between a small river (with waterfall!) and the road. Good cabins with attention for detail. A lot of personnel is engaged in keeping the property clean and leaf-free. Breakfast was good, with freshly made eggs and a nice chat with Donna Lourdes on where to go and what to do. Quick response when our shower didn't produce warm water and when we requested to give our room a sweep.

The hotel has family rooms. - great hospitality, we got helpful information about tourism and things to do in the region - attractive price-performance ratio - chargeless parking lot - On our way from Bonito to Pantanal we did the stop in Bodoquena to visit Boca da Onça which is located nearby. This plan worked out pretty well.

Surrounded by nature, Pousada Aguape is in Aquidauna’s countryside, 121 mi from Campo Grande Airport. It offers a pool, 1 beach volleyball court and air-conditioned rooms with a bathroom. The facility was beautiful and the staff attentive. The large property has several cabins in small clusters, so it feels private. Our room was for 3 people and it was good size, very cute and had AC (essential with the heat of Pantanal). The property has so many birds such as macaws, parrots, toucans, etc and the horses are nearby. The prices included 3 meals per day (drinks excluded) and two adventures per day. The food was truly delicious and one night we even had a traditional Brazilian churrasco and live local music. They had choice of red meat, chicken or fish at most meals. The “adventures” typically were twice per day (except one day you also do the nighttime safari as a third one) which typically are one in the early morning and the second one in the afternoon to avoid the heat. These varied and we did horseback riding, piranha fishing, hiking, kayaking and boat ride among other things. Staff were super attentive. I arranged with the staff via whatsapp so they could set transportation from and back to Campo Grande, which is the nearest large airport
