The island has some amazing beaches, but none of them are in the village of Boipeba. In order to get to the best beaches, you need to catch a boat or tractor and spend the day. Because of this, I found staying at a hotel at walking distance to the docks but not really in front of it the most convenient option. The beaches are worth the trips though - long stretches of white sand, sometimes the river bathing it from one side and the ocean from the other make for breathtaking views. Morere beach was my favorite for its easier access by tractor and particular feature - the beach only fills up in high tide, becoming a beautiful stretch of light blue calm water. Boipeba village itself is charming and well served of restaurants, with a variety of international and local dishes. I especially liked the sandwiches at Lambe lambe and the pizza at the Italian-owned pizzeria Corsario. It also offers all basic services including a hospital, police and quad bike hiring for those planning on adventuring farther on their own. The vibe in the island is calm and friendly, there isn't much of a buzz. The inhabitants are either locals, who know every corner of the island and can give you great tips, or young people who chose an alternative way of living in this inspiring island. Boipeba is for those looking for a calm holiday, direct touch with nature and are willing to walk everywhere to get that.
it is a bit hard to get to the island. It took us almost all day to get here from Mina's Gerais State. I would reccomend a fly to the town of Valencia from SP or other states and then a quick boat ride to Boipeba or Morere. Walks on the beach, private boating tour of different beachs, horseback riding, and taste of local cuisine were great activities! It is fairly easy to get around the island by feet, boat or tractor.
Nessa época do ano o tempo estava ótimo. Além disso, apesar dos serviços em geral dos restaurantes serem demorados a comida é sempre uma delícia.

The breakfast was great, with a variety of fruit, pastries, fresh juice and local dishes. The location is perfect, right in front of the main square where many restaurants, bars and the street fair is, but the hotel isn't noisy at all. It's also a 5- minute walk from the docks, where boats leave to day trips and out of the island. The owners are super great, willing to help, friendly, gave us tips and ideas when we asked for it.

The location and the hotel are stunning, very romantic and relaxing. The rooms are big and well organized, with nice balconies and confortable hammocks. The restaurant is good and has a good set of choices. They organize a boat tour (which i suggest if you want to check out the most popular spots in the island) and you can also borrow snorkeling masks. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed out stay ❤

The hotel is beautiful. Bungalows are spread out on a natural garden made up of native plants. The room was great: spacious, confortable and elegant. The restaurant produced great dishes at reasonable prices. Best of all was the owner, Gary, who not only is attentive to all the guest's needs, but also does everything to make them feel at home

It was worth the five hours travelling from Salvador, you certainly saw the countryside, taxi from the hotel, One hour ferryboat across the inlet, two-hour car journey, one-hour speedboat ride, 20 minute walk with luggage in a wheelbarrow along the beach this is a place you must visit if you're in Brazil

Saint Clair was such a nice and friendly host! Always helpful and willing to show us around the island. The room was lovely with a nice balcony, on which we had a great breakfast each morning. It was also a very good price given the quality of the hotel. I would highly recommend to anyone going to Boipeba!

I love the extra care that goes into everything there. It’s like paying for the presidential suite at a five star hotel with your own butler service included without the cost.
