Beautiful warm hearted friendly and honest people. Always felt safe. Very clean in apartment we stayed and public restrooms we used on the islands. Lots of reasonable taxi services Good food and friendly service in most restaurants on the islands and near Conch Marina.
My favorite places were visiting the keys each one unique in their own way. I had breakfast at JuVonia and the food was so good I recommend this highly. We did not do much dinner. It was easy to get around Marsh Harbour and the island is so clean and spacious and the people so courteous and friendly. I really vacationed to see some of the places.
Had a wonderful experience with marsh. The one thing to make sure you look out for is that places close early and aren’t open everyday. So make sure you check before you plan. Also it was very convenient to have a rental car. I was traveling from marsh to little harbor everyday, but it was nice to have just to get around town. Loved the coconut chicken at colors by the sea. The staff and drinks at snappa’s were excellent. Mangos had delicious conch
Every thing is expensive. Much more than developed countries. Not worth the air fare. Taxis are really expensive. Food and lodging is ridiculous! Every one expects big tips. You feel like there is a sense of entitlement.... I would not visit again.
Small town feel with bigger city amenities. Don't plan to do much on a Sunday as very few places are open (some nice restaurants with good views are open such as Blue Hole, Snappers and Colours by the Sea). Maxwell's (superstore is also open on Sunday's and has everything from groceries to furniture). Many things are in walking distance so you can take a nice leisurely stroll.
Friendly locals, take a trip with Glender of the Great Abaco Express - she brought us to places only the locals know about. Jake's restaurant in Marsh Harbor. A+ We took off from The Conch Inn Marina and everyone was helpful and easy to get in and out of. The surrounding Islands each had there own personality, my favorite was Man O War and tHe Hope Town Lodge had a great pool & lunch spot.
