Located in Paro, Zambala Hotel River-View has a bar, garden and terrace. The owner is helpful and was quite flexible to my breakfast timings. She also helped me to arrange a taxi. For the money you pay, the property is decent and the food too. It is a basic bed and breakfast inn with no complaints as such.

Paro is an excellent place to start exploring Bhutan, you should plan a minimum of three nights stay in Paro, two days in Thimphu and if you can, a night in Punakha/Wangdue Phodrang. Try chicken/shikam Datsi and Jassa Maru. They are awesome dishes.
Paro is full of outstanding cenic beauty with Paro-Chu river & beautiful Airport. Tiger-Nest ,Chhelera Pass & Ha Valley are as adventures as natural beauty.. Must Visit the Best place of Bhutan~PARO.
Excellent place to stay. Beautiful resort, nice location, bit far from town but really does not matter, you can view night view of the fortress, superb food, breakfast is superb. Very good service and highly recommended.
Paro is small town. Only attraction here is the Tiger Nest. It's a hiking venture and ends at a Monastery. If u want to visit Monastery, then only take entry fee of RS 500 per person from base parking site. Else, no need to take visit pass. Hiking is good and takes around 5-6 hours to return. Not advisable for Sr citizens and children below 5 yrs. Indians must know that in Bhutan, most of our Debit or Credit cards don't work as explicitly mentioned on cards itself. U can only withdraw cash but failed withdraw transactions also happen where ur money gets debited but u don't get cash and u get it's reversal after few days. Also, it's local two mobile tower companies don't give network access to Indian SIM cards and hence u don't get OTP for any transaction. Hence, one must carry cash to the extent required.
The scenic beauty in Paro is excellent and the icing on the cake is the trek to Tigers Nest. The Bhiutanese people are extremely friendly, courteous and happy and trustworthy as well. Didnt like - too many flies and mosquitoes
Quaint small town feel ... simple unhurried lifestyle . Good shopping of artefacts and handicrafts . Taktsang monastery is a tough trek . Do take the horse ride up ... it makes it a bit less strenuous . Drukgyel Dzong is under renovation ...
Great location, super clean rooms & extremely friendly staff (Ganga Ram & Tshering Yangzom at the front desk and Jamyang Choden at the restaurant)!
