The hotel has a private beach area in the Hopkins Bay Beach and it is 1.9 mi away from the town center. It features free Wi-Fi, an extensive garden and a furnished terrace with 2 swimming pools. The grounds are beautiful. My room - beachfront villa - was spectacular; many times during the day and night I would sit on the patio and watch the sea while listening to the waves. The staff are the best. they are all genuinely friendly. Special thanks to Travis, Michelle and Adelma at the restaurant (I did not get the names of the other staff members there but everyone was very nice), Robert and Natasha in the office, Edd and Dennis who helped with the booking of excursions, and of course Pablo - who shared his knowledge, enthusiasm and love of his country.
Located in Hopkins, Crash Pad Adventure Hostel provides free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. very friendly owner, superclean room, lovely terrace, great place to stay in Hopkins
Facing the beachfront, The Colonial at Jaguar Reef offers 4-star accommodations in Hopkins and has a restaurant, bar and terrace. We stayed for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. I’ll get the negative out of the way first, we found it hard to find as The Colonial wasn’t very well sign posted & our booking had a street name that our sat nav couldn’t find. We now know we needed to search for The Lodge at Jaguar Reef that was easy to find. Now for the positives & believe me there are plenty. Once we had found the correct location we walking into the reception area completely blown away by the design of the place, the welcome we received & the service by all staff at check in, I was even that impressed by the ladies restrooms I took a photo, very stylist. We booked The Colonial which is part of a larger complex. The complex as a whole is an incredible place, it’s absolutely beautiful. I cannot fault the staff, they are all so friendly, professional & the most loveliest of people we had the pleasure of meeting. My husband happened to mention we were here on our honeymoon but we certainly did not expect to be upgraded to the honeymoon suite, for this we are forever grateful for this amazing gesture & what can I say, it’s the most beautiful room I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you so much. It was also my 40th birthday while we were there so made full use of the gorgeous bar at the end of the pier & had breakfast & evening meals (food quality was unbelievable). The setting is absolutely stunning, what a beautiful place with the most amazing people. We loved it & wish we had stayed longer xxx
Facing the beachfront, Coconut Row offers 4-star accommodations in Hopkins and has a restaurant, bar and private beach area. We stayed in the two bedroom suite. The suite had everything we needed and more. What we loved about the suite was that it was on the second floor with ocean views, ocean breeze and a large covered balcony with seats/table/hammock. We loved how The suite came with 5 gallons of drinking water, coffee, sugar, creamer for the am. It’s kitchen was well equipped with everything We needed. Room service, laundry service were amazing. They were friendly and so responsive. Owner, Damien, made sure everything was fine and our needs were met promptly. Rooms were comfortable and clean but the people who worked there made the difference and made our experience even better. Their breakfasts at their restaurant were delicious and their all day snorkeling tour to south water Caye was great and reasonable. Loved Hopkins and it’s friendly people… well definitely stay here again and recommend coconut row to others.
Facing the beachfront in Hopkins, Inn at White Horse Guest House has a garden and a private beach area. The town is cute, the beach is great, and the Inn turned out to be the best lodging we had in our Belize travels – a surprising high note to end our trip on. Angel is the property manager and knows everything in town.
Amid the tropical forest, Bocawina Rainforest Resort is a eco-friendly property that obtains its energy from solar panels and is hydro powered. The eco-resort offers complimentary Wi-Fi connection. Very lovely and accommodating staff! As a solo traveler, I definitely didn’t feel alone.
The Jaguar Reef Lodge & Spa is located right on Belize’s beautiful coral reef in Hopkins. It features quick beach access, plus 2 outdoor swimming pools and an on-site restaurant. Amazing ocean view Plunge pool was a plus Staff had excellent communication skills and were very friendly
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace, Parrot Cove Lodge is centrally located in the Caribbean coastline in Hopkins Belize between the reef and the rainforest. Wonderful, kind staff. Room was great—clean with nice amenities. Hot water wasn’t working in my room, so they upgraded me for free to an Ocean Front suite. Great spot on the beach—lounge chairs and hammocks to relax under palm trees. A great restaurant on site with a few good restaurants in walking distance—or can borrow a free bike into the village (~15 min). Pool was a clean and a great temperature. Enjoyed everything about my stay!

Our stay was perfect. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Took the kayaks into the lagoon area to view the wildlife in the mangroves, it was very peaceful. It also offered a beautiful view of the mountains behind the oceanfront resort. Getting around is easy. We had a car, but it is not necessary. We were able to walk the entire beach, about 2 miles in one direction, but would recommend water shoes for the corse sand. Took the "dirt" road along the Sittee River back to highway for different scenery and didn't regret doing so. Locals were all very friendly and talkative. Be patient when eating out, things take longer. We also visited on our own the Mayan King Waterfall. We were able to drive all the way up. Don't stop at the first and second small falls...keep going up until you see the largest of the falls. I would suggest a picnic lunch at the falls.
We enjoyed getting to know the local vibe by frequenting some of the restaurants recommended by our tour provider, Julians Transports. They recommended Ella's and Driftwood as places to eat and catch the local vibe. We went to Driftwoods for pizza and drumming on Saturday night, both were excellent and very fun! We went to Ellas for lunch the next day and it was ok food and some fun local drumming as well. They recommended Nice Cream but we never got to go but it looked nice.
Here is a tip on discovering local culture. The Hopkins Village Library was started some years ago by a woman U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and continues to thrive as a valuable community resource. Drop-in and say "Hello" and look at their collection and if you wish, donate a few books or "bucks" to a very worthy cause...
Hopkins is a very friendly village, people friendly. Food was great. Driftwood bar n gtill restaurant is a must place to eat as well as coconut row. Would stay there again, just at a different hotel.
A quiet, not yet too developed, seaside village. Several good restaurants within walking distance of our resort (Coconut Row). Great beach, shallow, warm water. You get immersed in some of the local culture - a good thing! Grocery stores small but abundant. Even the local Catholic Church service involved participation by students from the local Catholic church. Very nice.
Hopkins has loads of potential. Beaches need to be cleaned in the town as the beach on the resorts are beautiful. Food is a bit expensive for what you’re getting. Lots of culture in this little town. It’s been a good experience staying here!
The room was impeccable, the bed was comfortable, multiple fans in the room including a remote controlled oscillating fan as well as bedside ones. The hostel owner Emma is an incredible human being and great host. The rooftop chill out area is an amazing shared space with free water and a fridge and communal general items like sunblock and insect repellant. The shower in my room was good enough to write home about. This hostel attracts polite and openminded hostel guests. It was honestly the best place I stayed in my entire time in Belize. A+
we can’t give this place enough stars! it was absolutely amazing and they made our time there wonderful! the staff is so friendly and they get to know you and want to know you. the massages we got were the best we ever had! everything about this please is phenomenal! they take great pride in their resort and the workers there are amazing!
Angel is literally the best! We asked so many questions, and he was so helpful and kind. I got stung by a jellyfish and right away he got vinegar and poured it on the sting haha! He got us taxi when we needed, recommended us great eats, and was very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
Amazing staff and gorgeous hotel grounds! Free paddle boards and kayaks. Happy hour all afternoon at different pools! We had a room with a plunge pool, two showers and excellent cable TV and AC. The pier has day beds and a swing into the ocean with an upstairs ceviche bar over the water.
Roy is very helpful when it comes to getting to and navigating local attractions. The facilities are good and the property is very eco friendly. Good central location within Hopkins. Hammocks on the property great for unwinding after a long day.
The location is phenomenal and facilities were great. The hotel has kind of an old Hollywood feel. The ocean view rooms are 100% worthwhile; the view is magnificent! Complimentary breakfast was tasty and the staff were all wonderful.
* very nice room on the beach with great view, paid extra for the beachfront but that was worth it. * very friendly and helpful staff * free bikes, kayaks and paddle boards add to the experience, Hopkins is only 5-10 min away by bike
The hotel was easy to find, on the outskirts of the village and away from the noise of the centre. There are two decent restaurants within walking distance. The owner is an interesting chap to talk to.
Nice hotel decoration. Rooms are big and confortable. Great bar near the sea and excellent food at the restaurant. The adventure desk was also very helpful.
Great location however seaweed ruined the fun on the beach. We were in Hopkins to watch Maya and Fishing do it was OK.
Lovely clean resort, great for a 2 or 3 night stopover in Hopkins to explore the south of Belize
Breakfast and Dinner at the Coconut Husk was very good and a good value
Very lovely and accommodating staff! As a solo traveler, I definitely didn’t feel alone.
Loved the staff. Charles and Mariam were the best!
