the most amazing was the view from the room - the whole wall is window and the view of the country-side and wind mills is spectacular. the room is large and comfortable. The staff was very nice. Bonus points for real mugs and glasses in the room and real dishes at the breakfast (I mean not disposable). for the view - best will be from the upper floor, direction of the back side of the hotel.

Location is great, so as staff. The owner of the property stayed late to meet us as we arrived hours. The common area in the kitchen and living room was clean and with everything you may need.

Maplehurst Manor Bed and Breakfast enjoys a location in Dorchester, 23 miles from Moncton Golf & Country Club and 15 miles from Fort Beausejour.

The home is spectacularly beautiful. Our hostess greeted us like old friends. The bed felt like laying on a cloud would feel like. The clawfoot tub was made for me and there was even a jar of epsom salts and bath bombs. I was able to read my book on the bamboo bath tub caddy. The shower was a challenge to use bc I've never had a full body spray shower so I accidentally got cold but it was all worth it. The tea and coffee was lovely. A roof top patio to enjoy the stars and sunrise. Breakfast was divine. I chose the eggs benedict and even the biscuits were baked fresh. The lemon herbed ricotta pancakes were the best I have ever had. And the bonus was Winston - the poodle - who sat quietly admiring us while we indulged and of course I shared my breakfast sausage for a paw.

I have friends who live in Amherst, and lived there for a short time many years ago. Amherst does not have a lot for tourists. We were there for a reunion at the Baptist Church. I forgot how beautiful it was Amherst is close to Springhill, which does not have a hotel. If anyone likes Anne Murray they would love her museum, and a Tour of the Mine is well worth the visit.

I just wanted a plazce to stay for the night, have some dinner and sleep. I went a few blocks away to eat, however, you can order food from their dining room which was closed for renovations but we did have a good breakfast.

Went for the nearby Joggins Fossil Museum.

Went for the nearby Joggins Fossil Museum. That was excellent. Scenic drives were beautiful but not for a timid driver. We didn;t find any particularly good restaurants. The best food was from a caterer that Trip Advisor wrongly said was also a restaurant. But they fed us anyway. The people in general are very friendly and accomadating.
