This hotel is 3 km from downtown Barrie, Ontario and Centennial Beach on Lake Simcoe. It features spacious rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV . We came for two nights two weeks in a row to ski. Everything was great. Check in and check out process was easy and fast. WiFi was great. Room ventilation system better than most. Coffee in the lobby, bottled water available at front desk. We needed a later checkout both visits because we were skiing in the am and driving home to the US in the pm and they were able to accommodate us both times. Room and entire facility was clean. All staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast had plenty of different selections and there was plenty for everyone. Pool and hot tub were in great condition. Close to downtown. There was a fire alarm during our second visit about 4 am (ugh). Luckily it wasn't a fire but a hot water line or tank flooded the basement. No hot water the next morning but it was fixed by the afternoon. Some compensation was offered. We didn't bother with the compensation as we didn't take showers until after skiing and we preferred the late checkout.

Everything was wonderful! In February of this year, I needed to visit Barrie, Ontario to help a very ill relative. (This, during the pandemic, and amid a federal and provincial "grey lock-down"). Driving in from the U.S., I was required to bring food and medications for 14 days and to quarantine alone in the hotel room for 14 days. The hotel staff was kind and gracious, providing a larger refrigerator, and bringing me (and leaving outside my door) not just a "to-go" bagged breakfast, but also a hot breakfast each morning. I was working the entire time I was there. Once out of quarantine, the front desk printed my things and helped me with directions and plans. As well, they were flexible with my travel plans as we discerned my relative's needed medical care and the time I need to stay/was able to stay to help him. The hotel was always clean, followed safety protocols, required masks of all guests, and all staff wore masks. Everyone, especially Brittany and the woman who did the breakfasts, was INCREDIBLY cheerful and kind.

Located on the Georgian College campus, this Barrie property features suites equipped with a kitchenette. i was impressed with the cleanliness. the bed was comfortable and very clean. we had two rooms, suite. i was happy with everything.the price was excellent. i will stay there again and i will tell y friends and family about it
