barrie is vary nice we were there for the u15 girls softball...
barrie is vary nice we were there for the u15 girls softball tournament the ball fields were nice however was a bit of a challenge to find also my daughters team finished 1st overall but was vary disappointed in the quality of metals they were given to work the hard for a cheap what looks like $ store metal is sad also she received mvp of a game and was only given an equally cheap water bottle

There are many places to visit in Barrie: the lake, many hiking and walking trails throughout the city. Access is easy to get to with a car. The Georgian Mall is very clean and spacious to shop or browse.

As contrary on the web site, there was no yogurt nor fruits...
As contrary on the web site, there was no yogurt nor fruits at the breakfast.
The pool heater was broken and the water temperature was 15 degrees. Although I advice twice the reception about this, nothing was done to solve this issue during my 4 nights stay.
The toilet next to the entrance were kept lock all the time and we could not use it. There were people smoking PUT (marihuana) all around the hotel, next their room and the smell was horrible and disgusting.
Worst hotel I have been this year. Not worth the price.

We booked the room only because it said there was no...
We booked the room only because it said there was no cancellation fees. We got there and noticed not one car was in the parking lot. A homeless person was staking out our vehicle while we checked the room’s cleanliness. After seeing the room, we chatted with the clerk which was very rude as we asked to cancel. He said it couldn’t be cancelled and to call bookings.com. When booking with this site, it clearly said ‘can cancel anytime with no cancellation fee). I am very disappointed and would not recommend this site.

The city itself was fine.
The city itself was fine. It seems to have a lot of activities. However, I did not sleep well due to the mattress and because the room was hot. So my enjoyment was diminished due to my sleeplessness. I wish I had stayed elsewhere and perhaps I would have enjoyed my stay much better.

The host was exceptional at handling our last minute date changes. Friendly, professional and very efficiently handled. The house itself was exactly as shown in the pictures. Very, very clean, everything our families needed to make our stay easy and functional. Lots of room for our activities and plenty of clean towels, sheets etc. The location was also ideal for our planned activities in Barrie. We will definitely stay here again.

While traveling, I spent the night, and the hotel breakfast exceeded my expectations. Waffles and hot food were readily available, making it simple to begin the day before returning to the road. In the morning, everything was kept rather tidy.

The hotel has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The bed was truly amazing. We also enjoyed the bubble bath so much.
