We liked the vibrancy of the city but felt there could be more signs for places of interest. For example walking to Royal Ontario museum up Universal Avenue was not mentioned on any maps that were obvious and we wasted time locating it.
Toronto is a very cosmopolitan city. There are various attractions to see like CNN Tower, Casa Loma, Ontario Museum, Distillery District and it is also close to Niagara Falls and the charming Niagara-On-The-Lake. The public transport is efficient and you can get pretty much everywhere using it. For breakfast I certainly recommend Cora which has great waffles, pancakes and French toasts. I also loved the coffee.
We love all the attractions, the view, the excitment by far the best city in Ontario. The Secret Garden Restaurant was amazing. Hersheys chocolate covered strawberries are to die for. And of course the GREAT CANADIAN MIDWAY is always a blast.
City that looks like a mini Vegas, fun, touristic, more expensive than the rest of Ontario cities, great view of the Falls from Skylon Tower, nice walk along Niagara River.
We came to Toronto to go to Anime North, an anime convention. It's the best convention that I know about in most of Ontario. We didn't have any issues with traffic there or back, which was nice.
Toronto is a rapidly growing urban paradise. The downtown skyline is beautiful to behold and the city is packed full of incredible places to eat, shop, drink and generally just have an amazing time. Beaches on the shore of Lake Ontario are a must, alongside a cycle out to Tommy Thompson park for an unbeatable view of the city.
Plenty to do and see in Toronto. Take the open top tourist bus to get an overview and plan exploring the city from what you see and hear on route. It also includes a tour of Toronto Island by boat which is interesting and you get great views of the city skyline from here. This may tempt you to get the ferry or water taxi across to the island for a day trip walking, cycling or lazing on the beach Other attractions worth seeing are; Sea Life Aquarium, CN Tower, Castle Lomo, Ontario Museum and the Roger's Centre. A little outside the centre but on the subway route is High Park. Hire a bike to explore the waterfront. It gives you a way of inexpensively getting out of the centre and there is a prescribed cycle route along this area. Be careful where you book your accommodation, like most cities there are some deprived areas and these are not suitable for families.
The city is charming, the food is great and it's on lake Ontario. People are friendly and helpful. Would love to live there. Free ferry to Wolfe Island is great. Easy and beautiful drive along route 2 to Glendora ferry to get to Picton and Sandbanks.
Didn’t realise it is the 4th largest city in North America. Very clean, modern and easy to navigate, Lake Ontario is amazing, huge, yet it’s the 2nd smallest of the 5 Great Lakes!
Loved Fergus! A cute an quaint little town on the river with beautifully preserved architecture from Ontario's early days. With lush gardens and plenty of decent eateries, it made an excellent backdrop for our wedding festivities.
There was a glitch with my prior review and no comments were included. I booked this for my son son and GF who are moving back to Ontario after several years in Whistler, BC. They were on the road for a week and as a helpful reward for completing the long leg around Lake Superior from Thunder Bay I booked the Quattro for them. They said everything was awesome, the room, the hotel, the bar, the pool; and, of course, especially the hot tub. They had gotten up early in TB so arrived at the Quattro just past 4 pm and thoroughly enjoyed their stay!
Hamilton
The apartment is furnished very well and makes good use of its space. The communication with the host was excellent. I would definitely rate this host as the top star! Our flight came in late, and the host was responsive even then. There is a fitness center on the property well equipped. The unit and the property were clean, with many parking options. It was the perfect location for me and my daughter while we were in Ontario doing university campus tours. We toured universities throughout the province with this as our home base.
This hotel is a real pleasant surprise, a gem.. The room and bathroom was very comfortable and clean. The flat screen was sensational and large. The breakfast was full breakfast and tasty. Sarnia, first time ever there appears to be a great small city sitting at the head of Lake Huron. My son and I drove over to the water before crossing back into the USA and were taken by the greenish-ocean-like appearance - beautiful in mid-fall but surely stunning in the summer months. We will visit here again in returning to Sarnia, Ontario.
The location by the university campus was perfect for us as we brought our dog to have surgery done at the Ontario Veterinary College. We found the hotel comfortable, clean, and quiet. Every member of staff we interacted with was very friendly and professional. I loved having a desk because I was working remotely. Free parking was also a bonus. Overall, a very pleasant experience, we would stay again in a heartbeat.
Waterloo
The location was on one of the best University campuses in Ontario, maybe Canada. The wi-fi was worked in mostly all buildings across the campus. There was plenty of nooks to sit and lounge or study, sip coffee and relax or get things done. Each building complex was unique to its discipline. A small lake and conservation area was within walking distance but there were bicycle trails everywhere.
We like this style of accomodation - not big, no crowded, quiet and good for relaxation, well maintain. During our trip In Ontario in July we slept in several hotels even with more stars. This was the best one. At the time of Covid their selection for breakfast in the box was better than others. This shows better care for the customers. We'll return again when need accommodation in the area.
very clean. the staff were very helpful and courteous. We were very happy that the hotel is pet friendly. The pool and sauna were great. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly. I salute them for helping out the hospital with their overflow of patients. Who knows where these patients would be. Our Ontario government is killing our care system.
Thunder Bay
Beautiful clean hostel, it felt very homely and loved. We arrived super late as we were on a long drive through Ontario, but our room was cozy and they left little chocolates and info about the hostel in our room. The bed was super comfy. We didn’t wake up on time for breakfast but one of the team put a pot of coffee on for us in the morning when we did wake up.
Pleasant detail oriented and informative staff. Very polite and respectful team. Clean and organized room. Warm and clean swimming pool. Reasonable rate for the night. Excellent location, beside 401 and very close to all kind of restaurants and retail store. We will stay at Ramada, any time we are in South London, Ontario, or in St. Thomas, Ontario
After checking in, I received a text message from the manager of Hotel asking if I was satisfied. If you have any request to contact him, I feel very warm. Because Covid-19, We went to the front desk to pick up breakfast, sandwiches, drinks, energe bar.。。。 Hotel is close to the Lake Ontario,. It's a great place to take a walk by the lake.
The hotel was hosting evacuees from Deer Lake, Ontario due to the wild fires. They offered us an upgraded room which was a lovely surprise. This hotel had a great reputation many years ago and I was concerned that it had gone down hill over time....I was pleasantly surprised that it was just as nice as I had hoped.
Great location, rooms on the second floor with balconies, so you can get some fresh air, spacious room at the expense of a bathroom, comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet choice was one of the biggest I've seen in Ontario, kids loved the pancakes :) We didn't use the pool or jacuzzi, but it looked nice.
We have a very relaxed stay in the hotel. All the facilities in our room are new, and we enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. There are quite a few restaurants nearby. And the hotel is near the southern shore of Lake Ontario. We have enjoyed morning and evening walk there.
Good location off the highway but not loud at all. Clean and modern facilities a huge step up from most other Northern Ontario hotels. Staff friendly and helpful in all cases. Complimentary breakfast bag. Controllable AC in the room. Comfortable beds. Wifi fast enough to watch YouTube with no loading.
I stayed at this Travelodge By Wyndham in Thunder Bay Ontario and I just wanted to say the manager of this hotel is a great guy... I brought a few things to his attention and he was extremely professional and polite and fully met and exceeding my expectations. Thank You. Bye Sunny
Hotel room was clean, pool area was great and the resteraunt in the hotel was amazing too ! It was close to the first ontario centre so we were able to get to our show promptly. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.
Wawa
I liked the cleanliness of the hotel room and the grounds were well kept and in a great location right off the Highway. This was our third stay at this hotel, it is a perfect stop when we are travelling from Southern Ontario to Alberta or back from Alberta.
Mississauga
luxury 2 bdr with 2 full bath! very comfortable. Excellent location, steps away to many restaurants and coffee shops, less than 10 minutes walk with proper walkway to Square One mall which I believe is the largest in Ontario or maybe even Canada!
Front desk lied to us regarding the closure of the pool. First told us the health inspector would be in the next day and then it’d be open. The next day told us it was closed because all hotel pools in Ontario were closed due to Covid (a lie).
I had never stayed here before so wasn’t sure what to expect. The price compared to all the hotels I stayed at in Ontario was extremely reasonable & I was very impressed with the room. It was a very nice stay.
