We liked the vibrancy of the city but felt there could be more signs for places of interest. For example walking to Royal Ontario museum up Universal Avenue was not mentioned on any maps that were obvious and we wasted time locating it.
Toronto is a very cosmopolitan city. There are various attractions to see like CNN Tower, Casa Loma, Ontario Museum, Distillery District and it is also close to Niagara Falls and the charming Niagara-On-The-Lake. The public transport is efficient and you can get pretty much everywhere using it. For breakfast I certainly recommend Cora which has great waffles, pancakes and French toasts. I also loved the coffee.
We love all the attractions, the view, the excitment by far the best city in Ontario. The Secret Garden Restaurant was amazing. Hersheys chocolate covered strawberries are to die for. And of course the GREAT CANADIAN MIDWAY is always a blast.
City that looks like a mini Vegas, fun, touristic, more expensive than the rest of Ontario cities, great view of the Falls from Skylon Tower, nice walk along Niagara River.
We came to Toronto to go to Anime North, an anime convention. It's the best convention that I know about in most of Ontario. We didn't have any issues with traffic there or back, which was nice.
Toronto is a rapidly growing urban paradise. The downtown skyline is beautiful to behold and the city is packed full of incredible places to eat, shop, drink and generally just have an amazing time. Beaches on the shore of Lake Ontario are a must, alongside a cycle out to Tommy Thompson park for an unbeatable view of the city.
Plenty to do and see in Toronto. Take the open top tourist bus to get an overview and plan exploring the city from what you see and hear on route. It also includes a tour of Toronto Island by boat which is interesting and you get great views of the city skyline from here. This may tempt you to get the ferry or water taxi across to the island for a day trip walking, cycling or lazing on the beach Other attractions worth seeing are; Sea Life Aquarium, CN Tower, Castle Lomo, Ontario Museum and the Roger's Centre. A little outside the centre but on the subway route is High Park. Hire a bike to explore the waterfront. It gives you a way of inexpensively getting out of the centre and there is a prescribed cycle route along this area. Be careful where you book your accommodation, like most cities there are some deprived areas and these are not suitable for families.
The city is charming, the food is great and it's on lake Ontario. People are friendly and helpful. Would love to live there. Free ferry to Wolfe Island is great. Easy and beautiful drive along route 2 to Glendora ferry to get to Picton and Sandbanks.
Didn’t realise it is the 4th largest city in North America. Very clean, modern and easy to navigate, Lake Ontario is amazing, huge, yet it’s the 2nd smallest of the 5 Great Lakes!
Loved Fergus! A cute an quaint little town on the river with beautifully preserved architecture from Ontario's early days. With lush gardens and plenty of decent eateries, it made an excellent backdrop for our wedding festivities.
Sarnia
This hotel is a real pleasant surprise, a gem.. The room and bathroom was very comfortable and clean. The flat screen was sensational and large. The breakfast was full breakfast and tasty. Sarnia, first time ever there appears to be a great small city sitting at the head of Lake Huron. My son and I drove over to the water before crossing back into the USA and were taken by the greenish-ocean-like appearance - beautiful in mid-fall but surely stunning in the summer months. We will visit here again in returning to Sarnia, Ontario.
Niagara on the Lake
The hotel makes honest statements about its lack of amenities which may be found elsewhere - for example, there's no dining option and no lift. However the room which was provided was clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and there's free parking. We were given an in-room refrigerator which was a bonus as it had not been mentioned in the hotel description. Above all, the location is perfect for exploring the local area as it is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and of course Lake Ontario.
Windsor
Great alternative to staying in Detroit. We came for the Detroit Lions game in America, but stayed at this hotel in Windsor, Ontario. Easy trip back-and-forth across the border. Convenient location to both countries. Wonderful staff, great price, very clean, nice room. We were on a Great Lakes road trip and this was the perfect stop to see like Erie in Ontario, before heading up to Bruce Peninsula to see Lake Huron, and then continuing on to Lake Ontario.
Absolutely lovely apartment spacious with amazing view of the lake Ontario which was really stunning, couldn’t get enough of it :) one of the best location! You can walk 5 minutes to everywhere, CN tower, Metro Convention Center, Rogers Center, Scotia bank theatre, aquarium and even street car just outside of the door! Very comfortable and clean apartment! Host incredibly helpful and responsive, was beyond our expectations! Thank you again 🙏
TIS is in a great location for exploring downtown Toronto. Close to both subway and streetcar. It’s also walking distance to many must sees—- the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario lots of interesting neighborhoods and great shopping. The apartment we had was spacious and comfortable. It was great to be able to cook simple meals (lots of groceries within walking distance). Lots of excellent restaurants too.
Hamilton
This was our second Laundry Room experience. First was in Cambridge and then this one in Hamilton. Both were fantastic. We purposely sought out this hotel because of our first experience. Great price point and the customer service has been excellent. We got stuck in Ontario due to a airline strike and staying here made our 5 day delay bearable. We will absolutely stay at this place again if in Ontario again.
Waterloo
The location was on one of the best University campuses in Ontario, maybe Canada. The wi-fi was worked in mostly all buildings across the campus. There was plenty of nooks to sit and lounge or study, sip coffee and relax or get things done. Each building complex was unique to its discipline. A small lake and conservation area was within walking distance but there were bicycle trails everywhere.
We really liked staying at this hotel. The location is exceptional, and our bedroom (a studio with city view) was really spacious, located on the top floor and overlooking the Royal Ontario Museum and the skyline. The breakfast was good, the bed very comfortable, and the personnel very kind and helpful. As a bonus, the fitness center and the pool are also very good. Would totally recommend!
Sault Ste. Marie
The Continental breakfast had mini omelettes, potatoes, and sausages this was a really pleasant surprise, there we even hard boiled eggs. The coffee machine in the breakfast area had a cold coffee option that was exciting. The person who was in charge of the area was keeping it topped up and clean. This hotel was the first of 4 stops on our way from Hamilton Ontario to Edmonton Alberta.
The view of Lake Ontario was excellent, the room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent location for the town centre and harbour. Excellent cheap weekend parking opposite the hotel but with limited number of spaces. The hotel is clearly run with a sense of pride which was much appreciated.
We have a very relaxed stay in the hotel. All the facilities in our room are new, and we enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. There are quite a few restaurants nearby. And the hotel is near the southern shore of Lake Ontario. We have enjoyed morning and evening walk there.
Very comfortable room. Full breakfast included. University based so workshop attendees were also staying, but not a university residence. Not your typical hotel environment either, so a nice compromise. Driving distance to the centre of town. Walking distance to Lake Ontario.
The Hotel staff is what truly stand out at this place. front desk, cleaning, restaurant. All so pleasant and always accommodating. I also really appreciate the parking structure. Not having to leave my vehicle out in the often nasty Ontario weather is a real nice bonus.
Hotel room was clean, pool area was great and the resteraunt in the hotel was amazing too ! It was close to the first ontario centre so we were able to get to our show promptly. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.
The room was excellent, very close to where we were going, walking distance to Firstontario Centre. Breakfast was great had everything we enjoy eating, (except chocolate milk). We did not need to worry about are car with the private parking. Very friendly staff.
Trenton
Location. Hotel is on the shore of Lake Ontario with a big lawn great for kids, extending down to the shore. Trenton is a really neat town. Sparkling clean room with fridge and microwave. Room smelled nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great for kids.
Clean, modern & tidy apartment, slept really well as it was comfy. Good location with parking, friendly hosts with great local recommendations. 5 min walk to waterfront (Lake Ontario), restaurants, park, cheese boutique!, and metro to access Downtown.
The Mercer Hotel Downtown in Stratford, Ontario is well located with lovely rooms, friendly staff and has an wonderful restaurant. We has an excellent stay at the The Mercer Hotel Downtown as we where in town to see a play at the Stratford Festival.
Breakfast was very good in the restaurant. Just wish they made part of the hotel plan. Location was outstanding. We could walk to the Shakespeare play we had tickets for. Also, lots of good restaurants and shops on Ontario Street.
Breakfast was generous and so delicious. Kitchen staff friendly and courteous. Location was a bit unpleasant because of construction/road work on Hurontario. Otherwise a great hotel.
