The view was beautiful. They have "hotel cart"(not sure how they are called) at the parking in the basement so you don't have to go around with your luggages. The location is beautiful, walking distance to everything. The breakfast box was great and tbh serve us as snack and half lunch later!

This hotel was actually amazing for the money. It was a couple of km out of town, it was very new, they’d been open for 4 weeks, everything worked, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was probably the best included breakfast I’ve had in North America.

Downtown port and historical buildings are the best...

Downtown port and historical buildings are the best attractions as well as the haunted and ghost tours. Kingston has a variety of good restaurants to offer. Personally I loved the food in Grekos and Tir nan nog. The downside of Kingston was the scattered site of homeless people and average people being on drugs. In my opinion the mayor and the city council could work with the police and the government to clean the city and help these individuals. Obviously mental health is been neglected in Kingston.

We experienced a relaxing walk to the waterfront enjoying a vibrant atmosphere. You really have a sense that people are feeling comfortable, safe and at home with the cleanliness of the streets, beautiful, well-maintained flowers and fun, interactive displays. Good selection of moderately priced food. The road parking fee was average cost ($2.00 per hour with a maximum of 3 hours) and was ample time to stroll and discover the area. We

Just loved the energy and vibe of Kingston, everyone we met...

Just loved the energy and vibe of Kingston, everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. There were wonderful little shops to poke around, delicious coffee shops and restaurants to satisfy anyone's palate. WoodenHeads on Princess Street was our fav. All within walking distance from our hotel.

Relaxing place and variety of independent shops,cafes and restaurants. Interesting historical places to visit and admire its history. Could do with a super market for fresh fruits and veg and other essentials for visitors. Asian supermarkets are not so good and not worth a visit for tourists for their needs.

Got there half hour before official check in of 3.00.

Got there half hour before official check in of 3.00. Receptionist appeared disturbed abd stated room not ready when large parking lot empty so in our opinion several rooms would be ready. At exactly 3.00 there was huge line up to register. Loved the pub and included breakfast was very good

I have always enjoyed visiting Kingston.

I have always enjoyed visiting Kingston. Not too far from home, but far enough that you feel like you are on vacation. I love the waterfront and the availability of restaurants and venues. However, I was disappointed to find that many shops were closed on Sundays. The one shop in particular, which I ventured downtown for was closed. Kingston is fairly easy to get around. We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites on Benson Street.

Excellent location in the heart of downtown Kingston and near the lake. The apartment is beautifully laid out and furnished, with lots of little touches to make guests feel looked after. Charlotte sent through all the relevant info in advance and was quick to respond to any follow ups. Being so central means some noise in the evenings /at night but nothing that couldn't be fixed by earplugs :-) Excellent stay-we would happily return.

1. The location on the waterfront close to downtown Kingston. 2. That it is pet friendly. The dog water bowls in the entrance to the lobby were very welcoming and gave a friendly vibe. 3. Friendly concierge, helpful staff. 4. Amenities - loved the iron and ironing board in the room, the microwave, the pool, the fitness centre, the guest laundry, the breakfast included (breakfast was nice, but not piping hot).
