The view was beautiful. They have "hotel cart"(not sure how they are called) at the parking in the basement so you don't have to go around with your luggages. The location is beautiful, walking distance to everything. The breakfast box was great and tbh serve us as snack and half lunch later!

Kingston is a beautiful small city and I would recommend everyone visit it. I have been there many times, it's surrounded by Lake Ontario and the St.Lawrence and the water is so clean and provides amazing views. They really take care of the city, the downtown has so many shops and restaurants and you can take boat tours and bus tours. It is definitely a wonderful city for a vacation or even for a day trip.

Nice city with good dining options

Nice city with good dining options We toured the Kingston Penitentiary and it was very interesting. Our tour guide, Cleo, was very knowledgeable of the history Short drive to Napanee and an amazing restaurant, the Waterfront Bistro. Excellent staff and food. They also conduct boat tours from the restaurant’s dock

I found Kingston to be very pedestrian friendly.

I found Kingston to be very pedestrian friendly. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars that cater to all palates. The walk along the waterfront is very scenic. Springer Market Square is a very dynamic area and accommodates activities which can include outdoor ice skating, outdoor movies, dancing and actual stalls vending commodities from food to artisanal goods. The transportation system was safe and punctual and there are several taxi companies too. Lake Ontario Park, across from the St. Lawrence Residence, has beautiful paths through wooded and lakeshore ares.

One of those cities that are definitely not "a city living" type - you have to drive everywhere - there is not much to see other than the river and the lake (great parks and walking paths along the shore)

I think that the two most beautiful cities in Canada are Kingston, Ontario and Victoria, BC. Both are smaller cities without the congestion, crime, or architectural monotony of many larger metropolitan centers. It is true that they are lacking some amenities but they "hit way above their weight class" (with world class hospitals, a long and interesting history, unique shops, high quality restaurants, a vibrant retail sector, a large arena, and a beautiful waterfront that envelops a large part of the city) due to the high inflowing revenues (in Kingston's case this is due to the huge number of students attending Queen's St Lawrence, and RMC, the large number of institutions nearby from hospitals to prisons)

Downtown waterfront trail is a great scenic walk. The area has many shops and restaurants. The penitentiary tour is a short ride from downtown and worth a visit as is the maritime museum with the passenger ship Keewaydin.

The room was really clean, quite large, nicely decorated, well equipped including a desk and chair, good-sized fridge, table and chairs to eat at, 2 sinks, wardrobe area, and lots of good lighting. The staff were very friendly, especially Pam the lady on the front desk who was extremely kind and welcoming, and gave me lots of information and recommendations about what to do in Kingston and also elsewhere in Canada, and which was so helpful and going above and beyond!
