Blairmore is a charming old town, that is just re-opening after the covid panedemic. It has some good restaurants and coffee shops, bars, liquor and grocery stores, craft brewery and scenery that will make you go Ah!! All in all, a great place to visit, kick back and relax.
Feels like Jasper, but with a working-class feel. Hotter and drier summers than mountain towns further north. Try out Charley Biggs' Chicken while in town - outstanding fried chicken and wedges. Very central to all Crowsnest Pass attractions, and about an hour drive to Waterton.
I have been going to Crowsnest Pass for years. Blairmore is part of that. It's a great central place to do so many things. The beautiful Crowsnest mountain looks over all. You are minutes away from so many historical sites. There are mine tours and of course the Frank Slide area, which I truly believe everyone should experience.
Had pizza at Captains pizza it is located at the hotel. Excellent pizza. would recommend to everyone. Best pizza i have had in a long time. Ate at Rudy's by the mine. Great food and good service.
The area is beautiful, and the history is fascinating and very accessible. The Frank Slide Interpretive Centre is wonderful. The whole Crowsnest Pass area has far more to explore than we had time for on our short weekend trip. Services are good, and we got helpful tips from locals about where to eat. We'll definitely be back!
Really just like all the scenery, fresh air, history, looking at the houses, mountains, driving around the back roads, … Had supper at Rum Runners,.... we visited the whole area in Mid-April , so not really very crowed, would like to come back and find some hiking trails...
The breakfast was fine. The location is terrible as it is too close to the railroad tracks and the trains come thru at night and blow the whistle alot thus waking me from a very good sleep.Otherwise the hotel itself was lovely!! Dont know how you fix the trains but it sucks
The hotel is very clean and the soundproofing in the rooms is great! You could hear the parties in the hallway but nothing from your room! The AC worked amazingly well which was needed in this heatwave.
Loved the atmosphere of the hotel. Bed was comfy the bar was an added bonus. Staff was nice loved the historical aspect of the hotel.
