We always stop at this location on our way to or from the BC coast and Edmonton. The facilities are clean, the staff are super friendly and the location is extremely easy to access. This year we had a room upstairs with a kitchenette. The room is large, big kitchen sink with all the amenities, two super comfy beds, and a table with chairs. The view out the window is great, and the traffic noise is quite muffled. The Grill restaurant attached has great food and amazing staff. Had a great solid night's sleep. We'll be back next year!

Bed was great but it was very warm and it had no air conditioning. The other issue we had was locating the place to register. The price was ok for the facility

Basic overnight accommodation.

Basic overnight accommodation. Excellent access from Highway 5, comfortable beds, clean, plenty of hot water, ample free parking. The associated restaurant is just a few steps away. Ideal overnight stop enroute to Alberta. Part of the Mike Wiegele resort which offers more upscale lodging and services.

We went on the River Safari which was excellent.

We went on the River Safari which was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend it! There’s not a lot of eating places but we had a lovely lunch on the floating restaurant at the Safari place and the local garage does a lovely pizza!

There's pretty much nothing in Blue River except a few hotels and a few gas stations. An ok place to stop for the night between the Coast and Edmonton, but there's nothing to do there in the summer.

We have been stopping in Blue River for years .

We have been stopping in Blue River for years .We loved the Blue River Motel, but they no longer accept travelers. I have tried 2 other Hotels and they felt unsafe(they gave me an adjoining room),did not provide what was asked for in the kitchenette(a pot for the microwave and the next time a bowl for the stove). The Glacier Mountain Lodge is my go to now. We also found out about Elenore Lake ,after coming for many years!

If you’re looking for a clean, family friendly and modestly...

If you’re looking for a clean, family friendly and modestly priced cabin to stay in, I would recommend Blue River. There were a couple of things that I didn’t care for. The campsite was crammed full, with RV’s parked within a stones throw of the cabins. I will admit it, however, that it was quiet after 10pm. Also, the hot water tank used for our cabin didn’t hold much hot water. My husband showered first and although he was quick used up almost all of the hot water. I had a hair full of shampoo when the water switched to cold. I rinsed and got out. Enjoyed breakfast and coffee, then finished my shower before we departed. The couple that run the cabin/campsite are really lovely. Overall, I was impressed with our experience.

Blue River was a perfect break in our trip from Edmonton Area to Kelowna. Our room was clean, quiet and the staff were very friendly and offered suggestions for walking and eating. We enjoyed a walk along the river and had a tasty bite at the Grizzly Food Shack as recommended by staff.

I stayed in two of your cabins this summer. What a great idea for someone on a budget that can't afford peak time hotel rates. The cabins are very clean and comfy. There were washrooms with showers close by. There is also a outside kitchen for anyone to use. Amazing. Great half way point between Alberta and BC. Hands up to the hosts:)

This was a summer visit to a winter destination. Blue River is a very small place between Clearwater and Valemount, but there are good walking trails and a small lake right adjacent to the resort to wander about. The various log buildings are impressive, there are 9 helicopter pad, you can surmise the caliber of clientele in the winter

The room seemed old and not well kept up. There were only 2 people on our side of the hotel and the other was put right beside us. At 6:45, he started his truck right outside our window and it was NOT pleasing at all. Then he left it running. It would have been nice if he was further away.
