Just 5 minutes’ walk from the beach, this seaside hotel is 20 minutes' drive from Charlottetown’s Summer Festival. Serving French Country cuisine, a restaurant is located on site. We arrived after 9 pm, but the family managing the hotel stayed at the property until we were settled. They helped us carry our luggage up the stairs, and we were given a room upgrade which was a delight. We had a bedroom with a sitting room and tidy bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious, and the dining room overlooked a bay and a field were you could spot foxes!
Situated in Stanhope in the Prince Edward Island region, Merry Stanhope Chalets features accommodation with free private parking. William the host was excellent, he contacted us before we arrived and informed us that since we were arriving after 6 pm that he would leave all sorts of information about the chalet on the table. As it turned out we arrived shortly after 6 pm and we past William on the road at the entrance to the property, he turned around and came back and gave us maps and information about the area as well, and made sure we were satisfied with the chalet we were staying in. Very friendly host, location is great, central to all points on the island. We were so impressed with the property we booked for two extra days
Set in Rustico, 27 km from Charlottetown, Barachois Inn offers views of the river, a fitness room, a spa centre and free WiFi. The accommodation is air conditioned and is fitted with a sauna. Beautiful property, close to some fabulous restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
Set in a rotating house, the self-catered accommodation opens out onto a balcony with changing views. It boasts free BBQ facilities and Wi-Fi throughout. North Rustico Beach is only 250 metres away. The location is fabulous, an easy 5 minute walk to the beaches. The view was lovely, the accommodation was so well laid out and very attractive, our stay was most enjoyable and I would certainly recommend staying here. I hope to come again in the future!
We all Loved Brackley Beach area. easy to get around, scenic, huge beautiful sandy beach on the Ocean and only a short walk from our cottage down the mowed lane. Our cottage was on the water with scenic pretty water views at sunrise and sunset right in front of our cottage at Brackley Bay.
Pristine beaches, if you choose the right spot you have the beach almost to yourself. Beach at Dalvay by the Sea is the perfect spot to relax, swim, beach walks - never overrun !!! Easy access to all points of interest. Dunes Cafe for lunch or dinner and definitely Mussels Cafe in Rustico - delicious seafood and the desserts are to die for.
We went up early...8 am for our family bike ride from the main beach parking area down to Robinson's Island. There is a forested trail that you can hike or bike on. Relatively flat, dirt/gravel trail, so it is accessible for anyone who can ride, and great for novice/new riders/kids. Then rode back past the main beach area to Stanhope/Bayshore to get fish and chips at Richard's for lunch. Then its time for R&R at the beach! Awesome place!
We enjoyed the beach on the coast as well as touring around the surrounding communities. Unfortunately we did not get to the drive in theatre as we had hoped, but we'll save that for the next trip out. Absolutely loved going to "The Dunes" for a spectacular meal and fun shopping.
Because we came to Brackley Beach in late spring, we were not able to go swimming, but we knew that before we came. We loved the natural beauty of the beach area. We enjoyed our visit to The Dunes crafts store and cafe, although the cafe was not yet open to the public. We also enjoyed our visit to the Great Canadian Soap Co., where we tasted goats milk ice cream, purchased some goat`s milk soaps, and watched the goats. Brackley Beach is conveniently located about 20 minutes from Charlottetown
The area itself was beautiful. The beach, shops, scenery was great. Our accommodations were horrible. Island life cottages is a dump. It was probably great back in the day, but it's run down and in serious need of maintenance.
