Beautiful and spacious with an amazing view of the harbor. Location was the reason we chose to stay in the hotel. Restaurants, shopping and attractions were only a short walk. The room was luxurious and well furnished. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay.

the prince george hotel and a in a great location between the citadel and the wharf and is perfect for exploring Halifax. The beds were very comfortable with a variety of pillows and bedding to suit all. The rooms are clean and quiet and service is excellent. While we took advantage of the rooftop bar for happy hour and nibbles we opted to explore nearby cafes for breakfast.

Room was very spacious with a large walk in shower, everything was very clean. Breakfast was substantial and well presented. The restaurant staff in the evening were very friendly and polite, they were very good at their jobs and nothing was too much trouble, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Amazing stay. Ambience, staff, flower arrangements, food, building, all exceptional. A special mention must be given to the cleaning staff, even my husband went around exclaiming how the brass work shone and was completely free of finger marks. I took a photo of the mirrored coffee table in which the ceiling is reflected perfectly. Well done housekeeping!

Such an amazing history, with the fort, historic buildings, working waterfront and location. The Art Museum had interesting displays of local and indigenous art. The Maritime Museum had excellent displays, models and a section on the Titanic. The waterfront was miles long with walking areas, shops, and restaurants. I was able to walk to things in the downtown in 15 - 20 minutes.

Loved visiting Halifax!

Loved visiting Halifax! The city is entirely walkable, there are hills though! Lots of public parks and art displays, street vendors and buskers, eateries galore! and tons of shopping. The Maritime Museum was wonderful! There's lots of live music in the pubs. Take the short ferry ride to Dartmouth for an inexpensive boat ride and a chance to see the cityscape from the water. Dartmouth has a lot going on too.

So many places to visit, the waterfront, museums, the Citadel, the public gardens, etc. Many different types of restaurants, and a variety of $$. Traffic was was "interesting" with all the construction in many locations, fortunately Halifax Transit solved my transportation needs. 😊 The Maritime Museum was amazing, as was the Halifax Art Gallery. I signed up for a bike tour with I Heart Bikes, located on the waterfront. That was fun, and covered a lot of territory I wouldn't have seen otherwise. My last meal in Halifax was at the Waterfront Warehouse, great service and a delicious meal too. Although I didn't do it this trip, last year I went out with Atlantic Shark Expeditions to hang out in a cage underwater on the back of boat, looking for, yes, sharks! That was an amazing experience! Highly recommend that. And we did see sharks! So cool!

What I did NOT like was Booking.com not cancelling all my Canada hotel bookings when I cancelled each one individually well ahead of the cancellation date. I had to cancel my trip because my wife was suddenly taken ill. I am now down over £200 for hotel bookings I cancelled on Booking.com website. I even cancelled this hotel and the Barrington Hotel in Halifax again yesterday but you still went ahead and paid the Digby hotel. An apology and a full refund would be nice. I am and have been a small but regular customer over a number of years.

This property is clean and modern and a lot of the utilities are fairly new. It was easy self service check in and everything went ok with this. The property is right in the centre of Downtown Halifax and a short walk to the waterfront. The bars are located just around the corner from the property and there are restaurants close bye and within walking distances. These suits are reasonably priced for downtown Halifax accommodation.

Hotel isa $ 10-15 Uber ride from downtown. It was less expensive than the downtown hotels and was getting very tired look in the bedrooms. The housekeeping team did not do a very good job with details. Overall is was ok and did represent decent value for that time of year but I would look for something newer and closer to downtown next time.
