We enjoy City breaks, we like parking the car and walking within the City limits - We did have difficulty locating affordable places to eat within the City but we got by, Find a good City Map - and you will be able to explore a lot, our fist stay in Halifax, the hills nearly killed us - but now we know everything is a lot closer than you think and the thing to do is to go up the hills by block at a time. (Up a bit of hill then turn left or right and then go up at the end of the next block...)

Halifax is a beautiful city on the shores of the Atlantic. Its downtown, the waterfront, the short drives to national parks, to Peggy's Cove, it's all there, and it is breathtaking. The city's history is also quite interesting; Citadel Hill is definitely a worth while visit. The restaurants and cafes are superb, the fresh seafood particularly so. Visit Halifax, you won't be sorry.

Halifax is a beautiful city. We each grew up nearby so when we visit we're visiting we're visiting family! Lots on Both sides!! It's on a hill so expect lots of good muscle development re walking! It'll likely rain at least 1-6x you are there. The transit & city recreation are priced very kindly for families who have children! In 2023 we went swimming with 2 adults and 3 kids. It came to $20 for all of us for 4hrs!! We're from Ottawa and easily that would have been $36 here. Even though lifestyle increase is only around 20% more

Downtown Halifax is good place for relaxation and entertainment. Many restaurants, interesting harbourfront. And museums we weren't able to visit because of flight delay :(. We will be back some day to see what we missed on first visit.

The room is nice and clean, facing the park in the front. The front desk workers are helpful and friendly. Have good size parking, nice and flat, not on the hill. The best thing about Westin is the location, it is right beside super store, and right in front of Halifax Waterfront, no need to find extra parking when you go for a walk there. I would recommend to my friend, and likely to stay there again if I can visit again. Good choice of restaurant, environment is wonderful. But toilet make funny noise.
