The breakfast was such a plus. The only thing I found that I think needs addressing is the bed. The mattress itself was comfortable but the frame was very flimsy and shakey. If I even coughed , the whole bed moved. Everytime I moved , even a little , my husband was woke up and vise versa. Nothing a solid frame couldnt fix. Other than that , the rooms were a good size , very clean and cozy. The location was perfect for a casino visit to the city and the staff at the front counter , well so friendly and accommodating.

Lots to do and see. Two days was just right.

Lots to do and see. Two days was just right. We tried the Bicycle Thief, the Wharf Warehouse, Durty Nellie’s Pub, Bearly Blues Club and more. Even caught a concert at Scotiabank Center. We enjoyed all the live music. We were pleasantly surprised by the regions wine, especially the Tidal Bay options. I loved the local Propeller Galaxy craft beer. Streets were clean and safe. Everything you want in a downtown core.

A great city.

A great city. Boardwalk area has improved immensely since I was last there. The pubs and restaurants were great, although some were a bit noisy. There is, however, a lack of retail opportunities there. There was one chain grocery store there which was a bit of a hike. there was a specialty store there (Arthur's) which was ok, but limited selection and expensive.

This is my second time visiting Halifax as a tourist and I love this city. It's quaint, fun, full of history, and easy to get around by foot or car. The seafood closer to the boardwalk is a bit of the cliché tourist trap. It isn't nearly as good as the seafood found in neighboring towns on the way into the city, like Shaw's Landing which is a must-try seafood spot! Keith's brewery tour is great, the public gardens are lovely, and doing the Harbour Hopper on Day 1 or 2 of your trip is a great way to get an overview of the city and it's history while also hearing about new places within the city you may want to visit.

Halifax is one of the most historically important cities in...

Halifax is one of the most historically important cities in Canada. And while tourist sites like the Citadel and Maritime Museum were great, the downtown area was as dull a dishwater. Clothes shopping – and particularly men's clothes shopping – was virtually non-existent. The sidewalks, restaurants, and bars roll up the sidewalks at 9;00pm even on weekends and holidays. What the hell is with that?' It's like the city is trying to convert its interesting and historical architecture and historical significance into the most boring city in Canada

For me there is no better experience on a nice sunny afternoon to sit by the water along the boardwalk and enjoy a nice meal at one of several fine restaurants. There is something for every taste in Halifax. History, culture, entertainment, nature, parks, shopping, live theatre and music. A short ride across the harbour on the ferry and you are in Dartmouth with its many lakes. I never tire of these two Gems.

Have stayed here twice now and both times been great. Big clean rooms, large comfy beds, great bathrooms with lovely toiletries. Gym/pool good too. Staff lovely. Well located for downtown Halifax and parking available and reasonable. Just need to drive around the back of the hotel as parking is on road parallel to front entrance. I managed the spaces no problem and I'm not the best parker. Will stay again.

The hotel is very well located, few minutes from waterfront and from the Citadel. In fact Halifax downtown and main attractions are at walking distance. The breakfast was good with several options to pick from. The check-in was quick and smooth. There is a parking in front of the hotel, but there are just few places; however there is an indoor parking available (25 $)

Typical hotel room with two queen beds, overall good space. Beds were a bit less comfortable than I expected. Hotel Location was great as it is right downtown walking distance from all Downtown Halifax as well as direct access from the airport to the hotel in public bus (which only cost $5 per trip).
