CanadaThe breakfast was such a plus. The only thing I found that I think needs addressing is the bed. The mattress itself was comfortable but the frame was very flimsy and shakey. If I even coughed , the whole bed moved. Everytime I moved , even a little , my husband was woke up and vise versa. Nothing a solid frame couldnt fix. Other than that , the rooms were a good size , very clean and cozy. The location was perfect for a casino visit to the city and the staff at the front counter , well so friendly and accommodating.

The place itself was great.
The place itself was great. However the check in process was a little difficult (no one answered the intercom and a tenant had to let us in the building). I would not recommend the place as you could hear all the street traffic at night and it was very difficult to sleep.

Halifax is beautiful and has a lot of things to do.
Halifax is beautiful and has a lot of things to do. Their is lots of history, great food and vibes. We really enjoyed doing the Harbour Hopper, we learnt a lot about Halifax. Enjoyed walking the water front and we got an opportunity to see the BlueNose II docked there. Could definitely of spent more than a day there.

Halifax is a great city to visit.
Halifax is a great city to visit. In three days we took in a lot of different places. Pier 21, Maritime Museum, a section of a graveyard where bodies from the Titanic were buried, Citadel National Park, walk the harbour, the Art museum where Maudie Lewis’s actual home is (artistA lot of history to discover. It is interesting to find out what the streets in downtown Halifax are narrow!
Outside of Halifax - Check out Peggy’ Cove, Swiss Air disaster memorial, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, etc. so much to see and explore.

The trip with my adult son was for an important celebration.
The trip with my adult son was for an important celebration. We saw Pier 21, along with other landmarks on a cloudy day. It really added to the authenticity of being in the Maritimes, my place of birth. We loved it.

Busy city. Lots to do and see. Great people very kind and helpful. Lots of choices of bars and restaurants. If you like oysters and fresh seafood halifax is the place. Every ten steps there is fresh seafood. Alot of up and down hill walking. Be prepared and get cab phone numbers and/or uber if you cant walk a-lot uphill. Not a crazy amount of places to park throughout the city because of one way streets and construction. Easy to get parking tickets as well. Why it is a more walkable city. Lots to do at waterfront. For all ages.

This was my second time staying at The Hallburton and I had a good experience both times. Staying at this hotel is like staying at a friends house or a B&B - the rooms feel homey and so does the building itself. Rooms are very clean. Having a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning in the library room with the fireplace is lovely. The location is great and is a fairly close walk to the waterfront as well as most other places downtown. The staff are friendly and accommodating. My room was upgraded which I really appreciated.

Have stayed here twice now and both times been great. Big clean rooms, large comfy beds, great bathrooms with lovely toiletries. Gym/pool good too. Staff lovely. Well located for downtown Halifax and parking available and reasonable. Just need to drive around the back of the hotel as parking is on road parallel to front entrance. I managed the spaces no problem and I'm not the best parker. Will stay again.

The Hotel location was great to tour downtown Halifax, like the Citadel, Pier 21 Immigration museum, and boardwalk. The front desk staff person was very friendly and helpfull! The bed was very comfortable!
