Our overnight stay at the Evening Sail Bed and Breakfast was just what we needed on our journey around Nova Scotia!!! Some comfort, some relaxation and some inspirational conversation over a delicious breakfast!!!
Shelburne is one of several lovely little towns along Nova Scotia's Atlantic coast. Take a drive out the coastal road, stroll around the town, just enjoy it all. No traffic, no pressures, (but restaurants are in short supply).
Tourist trap big time..Limited parking venues are priced out of site...Scenery is beautiful and the village fathers know it..The Motel we had the issue with didn,t answered either of my two emails to them...We shall bypass Baddeck in any future trips to Nova Scotia
Fabulous historic buildings. Great restaurants. Beautiful environment like all of south shore of Nova Scotia! Built on hill overlooking harbour. Lots of buzz. One of our favourite places to visit, along with Mahone. Bay.
Salt Shaker restaurant/bar had great meals. No 9 coffee shop had best coffee and hot chocolate we have had in Nova Scotia. Great meal at the Knot Pub. Lovely town to walk around with a beautiful harbour.
The Dauphinee Inn is a lovely spot to serve as your home base while exploring the many attractions of Nova Scotia's fabulous south shore. You are just a few minutes walk from the gorgeous Hubbards Beach and the iconic Shore Club (lobster suppers in early evening and popular Saturday night dances with live music). The Hubbards Barn Saturday morning market and Hubbards antique stores are fun to visit as well. For the hiker or cyclist there are miles of beautiful trails within walking distance. The popular seaside towns of Chester and Mahone Bay are also just a short drive away.
We have traveled around Nova Scotia for many years and always love going back to Halifax to shop and take in the sights and sounds of the city
One of our favourite places in Nova Scotia. It has beautiful architecture, much of historic interest, an excellent nature trail, historic gardens, and even a tidal power plant which is fascinating to visit. There are also some good restaurants. The town makes a good base for visiting other areas of interest on day trips - for example, Bear River and Kejimkujik National Park.
Great times with good people in an awesome town. Just like when I lived there. Miss Nova Scotia and will always need to visit to satisfy my fix.
Great place if you enjoy nature, stunning views, seafood, peace and quiet. There are lots of scenic hikes and drives in this area and great food, lots of history like the rest of Nova Scotia as well, worth a visit, we will definitely be back.

Lovely property right on the tidal beach fun for kids. The breakfast room is beautiful and the home baked muffins yummy. The best part was the owners actually play music for you when you're having breakfast.Guitar and piano. Nova Scotia songs and classic rock was what we heard...and she's a really good singer too. It was one of the things that really stood out from our road trip through Atlantic Canada and Eastern US. Very special. Rooms I would describe as cottagy and homey- not modern so if that's your style go to a chain hotel.

We enjoyed our two nights at the Ashlea B&B. Mariana and Jahn were so welcoming, helpful and thus made our stay all the better - what wonderful hosts! The communal breakfast was a highlight of our seven day road trip; the three course meal has outdone many dinner parties we've attended. :) It was wonderful to share with our hosts and other guests our experiences through out Nova Scotia over such a memorable meal and it was a great way to start the day's adventures. Great location, lovely rooms!

Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of there way to ensure our final nights in Nova Scotia were as good as they could be, when they learnt that we had been guests at the hotel that burnt to the ground the previous night in Baddeck. We even returned from dinner to find a complementary bottle of red wine & a cheese platter. Very thoughtful ! The room was one of the best we have ever stayed in also.

Cottage living with a campground feel. Art and Deb are amazing people. They are friendly and readily avaible should you require anything. Its an old school/ retro style motel that is a work in progress. If you are expecting a Best Western than this is not the hotel for you. Was very comfortable like home away from home for us. Will be definalty be staying again when we go to Nova Scotia.

Bed was super comfy. Only had to share the bathroom with one other guest. Breakfast was great. Drinks on the veranda every night was fantastic. Proximity to great things to do in Nova Scotia was 👍. The quietness and privacy was awesome! Veranda photo is of the property, the other 3 are just down the road. I stayed a week and I will never stay in a hotel again (if possible)!! Thanks Zelda!

The transport to and from the airport/bus stop/car rental was extremely helpful. No waiting. The man just came and drove us when we needed a lift. The hotel was a good place to stay for a day in Halifax before going to explore the rest of Nova Scotia - there is a regular inexpensive bus from the airport.

The hotel was lovely. Room was spacious and modern, nicely designed. Beds were comfy and breakfast buffet was nice. Loved the touches of Canadiana in the lobby and breakfast room (video of Nova Scotia cities and Decor touches like the canoe, farm images, wood tables)

This b&b is first class. The breakfasts are like a 5 star hotel. The hosts are so accommodating that you don't want to leave. If you stay anywhere else, you are making a mistake. This b&b was a highlight in our trip to Nova Scotia.

This is a good base hotel or place to stop enroute. It has easy access to the Trans Canada highway between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Very comfortable room with fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Breakfast is included.

The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The view of the Fundy Basin was excellent. The adjoining Restaurant is one of our favourite destinations in Nova Scotia. The Digby Scallops are my choice every time.
