We stayed in Truro to attend the Saturday morning farmers market. Great market. First time in Truro. Impressed, very nice place, friendly people, beautiful old buildings. We ate supper at Pizza Delight. Very nice. Friendly staff. We had breakfast at McDonald's. All good. Our motel was easy walking distance to restaurants.

Great area to explore- only an hour to Halifax for day trip,...

Great area to explore- only an hour to Halifax for day trip, Bay of Funday close by to explore for day trip. Nice to go watch the Tidal Bore come and go, close for a day trip down to Tatamagouche or down to Great Village to the Antique Stores. Good selection for dining out though limited.

Went to Burntcoat Head Park at low tide followed by watching...

Went to Burntcoat Head Park at low tide followed by watching the bore tide at the South Maitland Bore Station. Friendly staff at both sites and the Fundy bay tide was well shown by visiting both sites!

Truro is a charming town.

Truro is a charming town. It was just what we liked, the pace was relaxed and we had access to all the amenities we needed. We dined at the N & C. Which we enjoyed very much. It was so lovely taking a morning walk in Victoria park which is close to Abide Within B&B where we stayed upon arrival and departure to Truro. Excellent service and great ambiance. Our overall experience was excellent. Thank you!

Be sure to go to Burncoat Provincial Park (about 30 min away...

Be sure to go to Burncoat Provincial Park (about 30 min away) and walk on the ocean floor during low tide. We went to Captain Murphy's for dinner - staff was great and food was good. Fish was well cooked. It was raining most of the time we were there so we didn't tour the town much

The fact that we could walk to a restaurant not far from the Inn rather than drive was great. It was a perfect walking distance. Wait staff were pleasant and lobster rolls were the best we have ever had. The cheesecake we had was delicious. The Nook and Cranny had the option to eat in or on the patio. Lovely evening so we opted to sit out.This morning had a great walk in Victoria Park and the people who work there were polite and friendly.

This is not just any Best Western, this is one of the best Best Western hotels we've stayed with in Canada. We were greeted by friendly staff at every turn and very well taken care of facilities. The beds gave us our best sleep of the trip and our room was a comfortable temperature (not an easy feat in the changeable autumn weather). The free breakfast is served in the hotel restraunt with a good selection of buffet items and a chef at an omelet station.

Set in a quiet location, next to Victoria Park and within easy walking distance from the centre of Truro. Parking is on street just opposite the property. Greeted warmly by Jenny the owner on arrival. The room was large, comfortable, clean and well equipped and was perfect for our stay. Breakfast was excellent and you have to try the home made muffins which were delicious.

The breakfast was excellent and the serving area above par but the hotel does need some TLC. Eating area for breakfast was lovely so is entrance. The beds are comfortable and the room is acceptable however hall carpets are worn and dirty, doors and moulding have chipped paint. Time to spruce it up!

Breakfast selection was great.There were scrambled eggs,hash browns,sausages,bagels,waffles ,coffee juice.All the hotels in Halifax were 100 dollars more and no breakfast included there. Comfort Inn did great other hotels should take notice!
