CanadaWe arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve. On the morning of the 25th, when we opened the door of our room, we found Christmas stockings hanging outside. They were filled with chocolates and decorated with candles. It was a delightful surprise for our two children, and they absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful. It was the best experience we’ve ever had, and we will definitely go back there again.

CanadaThe price for 3 nights, having breakfast included with price, was excellent. The comminual bathroom actually wasn't too bad, I was expecting way worse, but it was always cleaned and maintained. You have multiple bus routes, so getting off the mountain if you dont have a car was good. Overall 10/10 experience, would book a stay here again.

AustraliaWonderful hosts who made checking in easy, and the stay, very comfortable. The suite has everything you would have at home. Also is close to bus stops, just a 10 minute walk to the supermarket, with other shops in the same complex. I would definitely look to book this property again if I come to Vancouver.

Metropolis, across the street from Hyatt Place, is a huge shopping mall if you like that. VanDuesen Botanical Gardens is an easy Skytrain and Bus ride and short walk well worth visiting. Easy Skytrain into City. Be sure to buy the All Day Pass you can use on all public transportation; so easy. No messing with cash or change. Hotel staff will call you a cab that will arrive promptly. Helpful drivers.

This is a bedroom community.
This is a bedroom community. It is quiet and we respect that short term rentals can be a contentious issue so we kept noise to a minimum. But we are all in our 60s and in bed by 10pm, say no more... That said, we found the proximity to grocery store, gas station and yes, a beer/wine store, within walking distance very convenient. Please be respectful to your host and their neighbors, we intend to stay there again.

Burnaby is about a 20 minute metro ride from Vancouver...
Burnaby is about a 20 minute metro ride from Vancouver centre. It's easy to get the metro from here. Good shops and places to eat. We liked Central Park - it has a running track around the outisde of the park and lots of paths to walk. A great green space in the city.
We ate at a place called Earls and it was excellent. Great food and service.

So I like being in around a busy center.
So I like being in around a busy center. What a great idea having a mall right there so everyone can enjoy themselves. Plus good Transportation all over the city. My family is wanting to make another trip there in the future. So you will be seeing us again soon as summer approaches mean summer holidays see you soon thanks for the great experience

Not friendly people there.
Not friendly people there. Everyone was in a rush and in a bad mood. Maybe because it was raining all day and the Superstore down the road had computer problems and people could not check out. It was a disaster. Also, the Costco parking near by was INSANE! I wasn't even going to that store but rather a neighbouring restaurant and this guy in his fancy Audi was trying to pass cars in the oncoming lane on the street leading to the Costco parking lot. He almost hit me as I was leaving a restaurant parking lot as the cars were stopped for me. He was such an A-HOLE, getting out of his car to yell in my face. NEVER again am I going to stay in BURN-baby, ha.

Burnaby is a distance from Vancouver. I did not realize this when I booked. It seems to be a business area and I was a tourist. Services were spot on from dining options to taxi availability. Every time I called a taxi, it arrived almost immediately and I was cheerfully driven into Vancouver.

Motels are not as common as they used to be and especially around Vancouver. The Happy Inn was very well maintained, everything was clean and cared for. The beds were comfortable. It was a convenient location for us and in a lovely neighbourhood with a wonderful park (behind it). The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was enough to get you started in the morning. i was surprised it had only a 6.8 review as the price and the care they have given to the place deserves more. It was great for our stay.

Breakfast was awesome and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable. There are so many great food places near the hotel, I wish we had more time to try them all. The skytrain station is a 10 minute walk away, and metrotown is a 15-20 minute walk away. Definitely a good place to stay as a jumping off point for your adventures.

I enjoyed my stay here. Very comfortable place - well equipped kitchen and tidy fridge is available for use, multiple common areas, clean bathrooms with reliable hot water, good wifi, conveniently located next to Metrotown station and the shopping centre, easy check in process.
