My wife and I stayed at York View House September 25 to 28, 2025. The house was beautifully setup with all the necessities you could need. The kitchen is large, having all the amenities you might need for a stay. The Livingroom was also large and setup with very comfortable furniture. This location in Bancroft made for easy access to Algonquin Park where we were able to enjoy some magnificent vistas.

We very much enjoyed our R & R stay. This quaint and comfortable home was equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable time. Being on the river was amazing and we enjoyed kayaking and spending time resting. Just what we needed. Wish we could have spent a full week!

The property was clean, easily accessible and beautifully decorated for the holiday season. I hosted my boy’s 8th and 10th birthdays and had pizza lunch in the conference room followed by a swim party in the pool. The conference room was clean, spacious and well equipped with abundant tables and chairs for food and gifts with a view of the pool which helped us to supervise the children swimming.

The place was very homely and meticulously prepared for us. It really made us feel like the owners cared about it and treated it as their own home. There were provisions to make our stay extremely comfortable. Everything was clean and in order. The location was extremely convenient, as it was right off the highway and close to town. However, at the same time it was peaceful and quiet. The views of the lake were spectacular, and the backyard was absolutely beautiful. Last but certainly not least, the hosts were very responsive and caring. They ensured our stay was warm and welcoming. We certainly will be planning to come back again in the summer to experience a different side of the cottage, as in the winter, we couldn't enjoy the lake in the same way as we would otherwise.

What I liked: Good location to watch the fall colours, lots of activities, such as hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, and stargazing. What I didn't like: there weren't many restaurant options to eat out, and everything closes at 7 pm.

Splendid location near to Haliburton.

Splendid location near to Haliburton. This very special cottage is in a superb setting. My family and I had a wonderful stay. We visited from England so we really appreciated how well-equipped and homely it was. Even had a canoe and kayak to use. Life jackets not provided but we found these easily at the shopping mall in Haliburton - unisex adult for about $48 each which we felt gave really good value for hours of kayaking. Great deck, pontoon, outdoor furniture, fire pit, stylish and thoughtful touches everywhere. Host provided lots of information about the local amenities. Wish we could have stayed longer. Made memories that will stay with our family a lifetime.

The setting is lovely but their service at breakfast was shocking and sooo expensive. They were so focussed on selling properties to e built so no services were available. Only the massage therapist was pleasant. Very disappointed.furthermore it’s so far from restaurants and grocery stores.

A beautiful part of Ontario with fabulous lakes and the lovely town of Bancroft. This cute town has some terrific thrift stores, restaurants, an art gallery, a theatre and super friendly people. We saw a play and had a terrific meal at the Eagles Nest. Definitely worth a visit!

Poor location, difficult access to the water, charge $50 for my cat to stay outside the rooms even though we didn’t even stay in the place. We only stayed there for 2 hours. We wasted more than $400 for this mistake.
