Welcomed by Joel, Philipine and their beautiful pet, Zona who were gracious, friendly hosts, we loved our 2 days stay at Sunny Bluff Chalets. We loved kayaking Kootenay lake the most, but all our hikes...
We loved kayaking Kootenay lake the most, but all our hikes were also great (Fletcher Falls, simply hiking to town from the chalet along the lake through the park, & along the river), as was touring the wonderful 1898 sternwheeler. We loved all our meals there (atop the Ainsworth Hot Springs on the way there, the Waypoint in the Hotel, Taqueria Tiburon, & Sunflower Sisters breakfast). We wish we could've stayed longer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kaslo … the autumn colours...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kaslo … the autumn colours are beautiful and the location of Kaslo on Kootenay Lake is lovely. We did some hiking and went to Ainsworth Hotsprings which we really enjoyed. There is much to explore in this area which we wish we had more time to do. We will certainly return in the near future!

Beautiful surroundings the town is well kept the buildings are old but updated. We loved being here people in the town are friendly and helpful. The Japanese museum at the Langham was very well curated. Nice cafes Crooked Fork and Sunflower Sisters Cafe were tasty. Must see New Denver’s Nikkei National Heritage Site it is well worth visiting

We enjoyed walking around the town and visiting local...
We enjoyed walking around the town and visiting local restaurants etc. This is the centre of some of the best riding in B.C. (bicycle and motorcycle), which is what drew us there.
PS: I disagree with the property rating: I would give it 5/5.

The location of the Kaslo Hotel was well situated on the Main Street with a beautiful view of the lake. Our room was very spacious, well appointed with a veranda that overlooked Kootenay Lake. There is a very good restaurant on site as well. The staff (Frank) were very helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend The Kaslo Hotel to others and hope to return ourselves sometime soon.

I loved to stay at this property and enjoy coffee on the deck in the middle of nature. The walk to Kaslo was very nice. We did not need the car to explore Kaslo.
The owner was fantastic and told us about hiking trails and waterfalls. We did the River and Strawberry ridge hike (beautiful views) and drove to Fletcher falls.
Everythibg was perfect.

What I liked the most was the quaint old western style of the hotel. I felt like we were in an old western movie. We sat out on the wrap around balcony until the late hours and again in the early morning with our coffee and watched the community come to life. It was wonderful.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great mountain view. The Kaslo river trail is worth the walk to see the amazing hide and seek sculptures.
