Absolutely stunning property - owners have thought of everything. They even had 5 chairs sitting out in the sun ready for our arrival and a lovely welcome note in the kitchen. Comfortable beds, excellent shower, well appointed kitchen, large tv great for movie watching.

Nelson is a pure delight of a small city.

Nelson is a pure delight of a small city. Almost completely unblemished by commercialisation (No McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell etc) and all the shops, cafes, bars and retsaurants were locals. EVERYONE we met was simply so kind, helpful, welcoming and friendly. The local brewers had fine ales, the bars and restaurants had quick friendly service and the quality of the food was superb. The surrounding areas were eceptionally clean and never once did I feel uneasy or uncomfortable. It's simply the very best place I've been too in a very long time. I would hire a car if possible though as some of the other surrounding areas would be good to see. Local Taxis are scarce and come at a prime cost if you need transport to Castelgar airport. The local Taxi firm in Nelson doesn't seem to operate on a weekend so be mindful if you need transport to the Airport. Castelgar Taxi is available but quite expensive. The Kootany Group tours is probabaly best option and they were very nice and relaiable to work with for transport.

If you're a skier/snowboarder, Whitewater mountain resort is...

If you're a skier/snowboarder, Whitewater mountain resort is lowkey amazing. Stay in Nelson is the best choice. Small but cute and picturesque town. Restaurants are good! Locals are very nice.

Nelson is a nice town in a scenic location with a lot of character. It is large enough to provide all amenities but still has mostly managed to keep a small town feel and stay charming with a pleasant hippy vibe.

Good town, clean and tidy throughout

Good town, clean and tidy throughout Shopping and restaurants plenty Enjoyed our 2 day stay here Ate at Amanda s chinese food, the deck was nice to eat at, friendly staff, good food Dairy Queen for dessert on the way back to motel was fantastic, happy smiling girl serving all the yummy treats by herself, she did great

Love this place , the vibe you get is amazing.

Love this place , the vibe you get is amazing. The people you meet are down to earth and genuine. The food and drink, quenching and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the outdoor cafe's...... Sadie our server at the Full Circle Cafe was a Delight....such a pleasure to have as a hostess / server.....

We liked the historical aspect.

We liked the historical aspect. However, we thought the " organic" was being taken a little to seriously. We're all in favors of choices, and didn't like having this view pushed so hard on us almost every where we went in town.

The hotel room and bathroom had everything you could need for setting up your room for being organized. There was also two chairs on the balcony for you to enjoy the view of the lake and the sailboats. Service was fast and friendly at the desk.The room had a microwave, fridge, coffee, dresser, shelves and a desk and a chair. Right by me beach, lake walking area and the mall.

What I really liked about the Hume Hotel & Spa was its personal service. I understand that it has been owned by the same family for more than 40 years, and, yes, you can see it, rather, feel it. Some of the staff have been working there for more than 20 years. Now, is there a better indicator that a happy place for staff isn't also a happy place for guests?

Great location, great amenities great kitchenette with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave etc. Nice, quiet, & very clean. Air-conditioner worked great. Less than 15mins from Nelson. 30 mins to Ainsworth hot springs & beach spots close by. I came to kayak & paddleboard & this place was perfect. I would definitely come back!

Food was delicious although of vast proportion. The staff were delightful and one waiter (whose name we did not get unfortunately)at dinner gave us excellent local recommendations. Lovely coffee shop on site and hotel right beside the lake with great views and local walks.
