Kenora was a quaint town with lots of restaurants and...
Kenora was a quaint town with lots of restaurants and vintage buildings to visit. We ate at the Vault and hosts provided a discount card. Our food and view from the patio were lovely. The Stone House is located very close to the marina and view of the water. Our hosts, Nicole & Nacho were absolutely lovely and this property is a GEM! We will definitely recommend the Stone House Kenora to our friends and family.

We liked our short stay in Kenora, appreciated Nicoles's prompt assistance when needed and the proximity of The Stone House Kenora to all the spots we wanted to visit. Would recommend it to other seniors looking for a short getaway!

I would never, ever stay in Kenora again.
I would never, ever stay in Kenora again. If you want to see the absolute devastating effects of what alcohol can due to ruin a beautiful paradise, you have found it. You couldn't pay me to come back here.

There was only 2 restaurants that had good food.
There was only 2 restaurants that had good food. The Iron Clay Coffee House and The Log Cabin Tavern were the two restaurants with excellent food.
The other restaurants we went to were below par with their food preparation. No wonder some of the restaurants go out of business.
The Hungry Pug restaurant, 901 Westside, and Ho Jo’s food preparation and quality of food was below par. Not good at all.

This is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the summer...
This is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the summer but year round. Lots to do, the lake is grand, people friendly. Good variety of places to eat and drink.
As the hotel had no food outlet we got our breakfasts at Tim Hortons and enjoyed the little drive. Lots of hilly roads which could be exciting or terrifying but all paved and fairly clear visibility. Winter could be tricky driving off the main streets!
I would avoid booking late - and don't go if you book at last minute in the summer - don't settle for poor accommodations. Wait until there are lots of options. Consider a Bed and Breakfast if hotels not readily available. May cost more but likely more reliable and attractive.

Kenora is a beautiful city by the lake. Lots of walkways. Great restaurants and breweries. Highly recommend Lake Of The Woods Brewing Company. Delicious food and great beer. Also the people of Kenora are welcoming and very helpful.

Nicole, the host, was friendly, informative and super helpful - at some point in the afternoon I needed crazy glue, and she unexpectedly came through with some! The room was clean; had a well appointed kitchenette and a super comfy bed. The shared common room with brochures and snacks was a nice touch. The house is within a stone's throw of Shoppers Drug Mart and a plethora of restaurants.
Don't miss out on this home away from home if Kenora is a stopping point on your journey.

To be honest it was 2 of my techs that showed up at hotel and they stayed a whole 5 minutes. They told me they could begin to describe how bad it was and wish I could see for myself. The smell of urine was ove powering and did mention homeless people going in one of the doors. They say it’s because of Reno’s but my techs are saying way deeper than that. My one tech said he called the health department. Stay clear of this place

Kenora is beautiful! The location was very picturesque. Nice room with a ground floor patio outside. Front desk receptionist recommended a local place for dinner - Lake of the Woods Brewing - Was incredible and a highlight of our road trip. Kenora deserves another trip! We can't wait to explore the area in the future, it looks like such a gem!

Overall the hotel is really good. The room was clean and spacious. They served a good hot complementary breakfast. The coffee station is open 24 hours which is good for coffee lovers. The staff was really helpful.
