Great location, centered in the town and a good place to stop if you wan to go to the hot springs (20min by car). The staff was really friendly and helpful, we had some problems and they were fast and caring to solve the situation. The place has a pub and a licor store in the same place that could be comfortable if you are tired and don't want to walk too much. Is a central place.

Nakusp is a little gem of a place.

Nakusp is a little gem of a place. We had a brief one-night stay there, and really enjoyed it. The community gardens and walkways look fabulous - there must be some great gardeners who plan and look after the town's public spaces - and it is wonderful to see and spend some quiet time enjoying them. The beach was lovely and a really great spot to see families enjoying themselves. There are wonderful roads and hot springs around Nakusp that make the town a good spot to stay. We had a delicious dinner at Bella Soriah, which offers unique Mediterranean style tapas and entrees. The only thing I wish is that there were more places to eat with a view of Arrow Lake which is one of BC's treasures, as well as more breakfast options. There is one restaurant in town that offers breakfast daily starting from 7am.

Nakusp might be a small place, but it's like walking in a garden when you walk on the boardwalk. The flowers and trees are so beautiful and different to what I've ever seen. And the people are very friendly. Hoss & Jill's Bistro has the best food in town. And the Visitor Information Centre is wonderful too. Not forgetting the Museum, just awesome...so much history.

The people in the community were welcoming and friendly. We were there for an art show in the wonderful little Studio Connexion Gallery, and met quite a few of the local residents, all of whom loved living in Nakusp. The weather was ideal, and we enjoyed several hours on the waterfront, as well as a couple of short drives to scenic locations on the lake. We'll definitely plan a long trip next time.

We are seniors which visited at the height of summer. The town is beautifully decorated with lovely manicured mini flower gardens (of many varieties of perennials and annnual) on every street corner and businesses on the Main Street. This is both a year round and summer cottage town with everything one would basically require for a summer lake holiday. We enjoyed one of the nearby mineral hotsprings. We walked along an easily accesable walkway along the lakefront. I noticed a marina. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants, with ample parking and sidewalks. Very accessible, clean and neat! Murals on many outdoor walls. Friendly people! I will be back!

Quiet town, except for bikers.

Quiet town, except for bikers. Nice municipal park, amazing playground for kids of all ages. Has a working movie theater. Good restaurant selection. Some interesting stores on the main street. Hot springspricey, and bland (save for the hummingbirds). Easily walked, even on hot days.

This is a beautiful town set on a beautiful lake and surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is full of nicely maintained and signed buildings from its historical past. The lakefront walk alone is worth a visit to this pretty, clean well - kept town. Be sure to enjoy a meal on the deck of the historical Leland hotel right on the water.

Nakusp is a small town and the hotel is towards one end of the main street so much is accessible by walking and that is certainly a plus. On the other hand the name implies a position closer to the lake than is actually the case. It is not so much a Lodge as a conventional motel which is on the whole reasonable value for the price charged. I did, however, enjoy my stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Good breakfast menu. Our room was right next to the laundry room, and the staff insisted on slamming the laundry room door 90% of the openings/closings. NOT A QUIET ROOM,CONSEQUENTLY. Lighting in bathroom was bright enough for a movie set. Presence of bar AND liquor store in the hotel made it a great spot for local bikers to visit - none of whom understood that motorcycles are noisy.

Unfortunately this hotel does not serve any breakfast. No food is available until 11:30 which is really odd
