If you didn’t know any better you’d probably drive right past it on your way to or from Parksville-Qualicum...you’ll be glad you took the turnoff at the Petro Canada Service station....if nothing else, treat yourself to breakfast or lunch at the Rusted Rake Eatery just a bit up the road...a one way ticket to Yumsville!!😊
There were cobwebs in my room when I arrived. The bed was totally uncomfortable. I stayed two nights and they didn’t even come in to clean my room or make my bed. I’ve stayed in places way cheaper then this place and they clean my room and are way cleaner. I wouldn’t come back for what I paid. The restaurant was probably the best thing they had at this hotel. The hot tubs weren’t working.
Even though it was wet and rainy, we loved the area. We came for the RV show, and it was a lot of fun. Very close to Parksville and good dining also. We ate fish and chips at the Rod and Gun pub, sooo delicious.
Familiar with this area many years ago, we were happy to find such a great place to stay and get reacquainted with Nanoose Bay! Jonathan and his wife have made the studio so inviting, it's tempting NOT to leave it to go out during the day. The well equipped kitchen, comfortable king size bed and bright airy decor make it instantly feel like home. The view is fantastic from the front window, back verandah and even the "throne"!! We went out for a day sail...best deal in town, anywhere! Jonathan is a proficient, responsible and informative Skipper and we thoroughly enjoyed the day of water, sun and refreshing our sailing skills. We will be back to stay and sail another day!
I live on Whidbey Island, Washington Nanoose reminded me of home! Small quiet and peaceful loved every second of this trip and plan on coming back soon Nanaimo was a short drive away so you could enjoy a good restaurant!
I was told upon check in that there was no room attending during our 2 night stay...should of been my first clue. The room had a fridge & coffee maker but only 2 styrafoam cups...for 2 days? No ice machine anywhere. The restaurant had lots of staff but the second day they preferred to visit with each other than attend to the patrons. Our drinks finally got delivered after our meal was delivered to the table. Very disappointed with this place and wouldn't recommend it. We would of been better to have stayed at a chain hotel or spend more days in Victoria then have driven all that way for this kind of facility.
This is a stunning and attentively designed property with serene views. Harold is a great host who makes every effort to please shares ideas regarding what to do in the area. The property is run in the style of a high end B&B. We couldn’t be happier that we chose this property as our home base for Parksville instead of staying at one of the beachside hotels. We will be recommending Inn the Estuary to all our friends!
Rustic and quiet accommodation. Nature at your doorstep, at this friendly Horse Ranch Acreage! Deb, is a lovely smiling hostess and Gerd, her husband, made a sumptuous breakfast fitting a 5 star hotel!
