Located in Prince Edward County, this hotel is 5 minutes' drive from downtown Picton or Bloomfield, Ontario. It features an on-site cookery school and spacious rooms with free WiFi. I booked this stay for my parents as part of their anniversary gift and they had nothing but great things to say about it (nice big room, comfy king bed, tasty food, friendly and welcoming staff). The staff helped me organize a custom welcome package for them when they arrived as well. thank you!

A very attractive town, but right now most of the roads through and around the town are under construction, or being repaired. Or so it seemed. Every road we tried to travel had road works of some type on them. Not good for visiting, but as the good weather is the only time to do it, it is what it is. The shopping, as a tourist, is good. The surrounding area is scenic and has many wineries, and farmer's markets, to browse. We didn't visit beaches as it rained for the 3 days we were there.
Lots of interesting shops and good places to eat. Beautiful old houses on the side streets. Picton Bay is lovely and the Lighthouse Restaurant has great breakfasts with a patio right on the wharf. Slickers Ice Cream (made in small batches with local ingredients) is a MUST! A great little town with lots to do and see!
Beautiful place to visit but unfortunately most restaurants are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which was frustrating since our stay was from Monday to Wednesday. And those that are open usually don't take reservations (first come first serve basis). Definitely plan ahead and do your research - i.e. don't think because it's peak season (summer) everything is open. As well, book any of the Top Rated trendy restaurants weeks in advance.
We loved shopping in Picton including our favorite store Green Gables. We loved staying at Loyalist Loft because it included a kitchen which gave us more options. It was a little difficult eating out since dining is limited due to COVID. We did not enjoy the Waring House for dining. We heard Blumen was excellent, but it was not open the day we were there. I recommend going to Oeno outdoor art gallery, Huff Estates for wine tasting, and Sandbanks of course!
Cute and full of culture People are really nice in the county Recommend to go to the lakeside Motel at least to eat and drink it’s in Wellington about 20min by car or 25$ of taxi from Picton Recommend doing a wine tour very very good experience
This was our second time to Picton over a decade. It is a sweet historic town with lovely shops and restaurants pulling from local produce, near to cideries, wineries, antique shops and a great dune beach.
