The cleanliness and the owners were so thoughtful. Giving us cleaning towels for our bikes plus the use of their garden hose

Easy, walkable street (Water Street) with a variety of lovely shops, including delicious McGuires Speciality Chocolate Icecream. Cafe culture in places, good quality gifts and art works in shops; good restaurants and pubs. Seafood in most restaurants very good. A Market on Thursday morning in Square sells famous bread and local vegetables and art. The Square is next to whale-watching cabins where you can book trips out on various types of boats to see whales in Fundy Bay, and other wildlife (seals, porpoises) (Quoddy Link were very good). Streets are a grid system and easy to walk around. People living in Saint Andrews extremely friendly and polite, very clean local toilets and pretty streets. The only disappointment we had was lack of sandy beach and good access and water for swimming.

This was the perfect stay before driving back to Boston.
This was the perfect stay before driving back to Boston. It reminded me of Bar Harbor with its architecture, shoos, and restaurants. Great atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. I wished I had stayed another day to visit the off shore islands.

Beautiful little town.
Beautiful little town. Unfortunately the local kayak rental place closed as did the only fresh seafood store. Be aware that the Salt Bight restaurant will tell you a story of being understaffed in the kitchen and should wish you can sit at the bar for .30-.45 minutes to enjoy a drink until the staff kitchen staff get caught up. The drinks are expensive and the food was ok. I know this is a tactic in a few restaurants but if you are a family and in a rush for dinner you should know what you are walking into at this place. All other restaurants that we went to during our stay did not have this issue.

There looked to be a number of interesting little shops all along Main St., but most of them kept odd hours, which meant that we weren't able to shop there due to our being in town only one evening. And we could have shopped the next morning, but most of the shops didn't even open till 11 a.m., by which time we were about an hour and a half's drive away.

My partner and I liked the ambiance and the warm, helpful and friendly staff.
The lovely downtown area is filled with quality goods; many locally made, outside dining, and the friendliest staff one could find anywhere.
Some restaurants had closed for the season but, with that said, there were many choices.
We had a wonderful meal at Seasons by the Sea. Another at The Red Herring Pub and an outstanding tasting adventure of a Thanksgiving Dinner at the Algonquin Resort.
Yes, it is very easy to get around St. Andrews whether by foot or wheels of any kind.
I have visited there with my partner at least five times in different seasons, and there is nothing I would avoid!

Quaint village in the Bay of Funday. Very relaxing.
Quaint village in the Bay of Funday. Very relaxing. If we had been able to stay longer than a night, we would definitely have done a whale watching excursion and enjoyed a lovely dinner at one of the many restaurants!
We truly enjoyed our stay here. It was a pleasant change from the hotel chain environment. The homemade jam, warm croissants, fresh fruits and great coffee and tea were immensely enjoyed. The hosts (Don and Judy) were great communicators, very informative, kind and sincere. We enjoyed getting to know them and the conversations on multiple topics. The home is clean and comfortable and is a beautiful example of late 19th century residential architecture. I loved the cast iron floor grate!
MY room overlooked the water and had a little balcony. It was excellent. The hotel is a little dated and could really use
some updating but for one night it was fine Staff was veryfriendly and the location was excellent.
Great location in St Andrews, beautiful building with very large rooms and great amenities, 2 pools, spa and water tube. During our stay numerous activities around/in the hotel were proposed which was great for our kids.
Location
Room very comfortable
Best bed and pillows so far on our trip around Canada
Would recommend this area and hotel to anyone popping up this way.
