The breakfast is good, but regarding the eggs, I think guests should have a choice between fried eggs or eggs and cheese.

My quarters were in walking distance of Broadway strip as well as downtown. Bus service was very good. Streets are clean. Vagrant population is standard to modern city. Watching World Cup at Winston's was a big bonus. Next time, a visit to Remai!

Good central area, has a lot of history with regards to its past. Lots of homeless and addicts around, I was adivsed not to wonder around on my own in the evenings down town. The bus centre does not exist and there is no way of knowing how to get to your bus stop, this was for travelling out of Saskatoon. In the end it was a case of guess work and hope for the best, for my trip to Calgary. In the end it worked out fine.

As a former truck driver, l have stayed and driven in many cities in Canada, Saskatoon is the most friendly, best to drive in, just all round best city l have been to in Canada. It has all one needs, Ottawa and Quebec are aweful, if you dont speak Canadian French, dont go...very rude ignorant, as a world traveler, they both rank joint 1st of the worst. Regina, Edmonton Vancouver l go to when l have to..Toronto, no thanks, Winnipeg, no thanks, Calgary apart from impatient drivers is good.

I am an alumni of the University of Saskatchewan (Ph.D.

I am an alumni of the University of Saskatchewan (Ph.D. 1975). We had a memorable trip because my wife and I visited Saskatoon after 50 years. It was a nostalgic trip. We revisited the little apartment on Temperance Street which was our home in 1974-75 (as a graduate student). When we left Saskatoon in 1975 it had a population of 135,000. Now (in 2025) the Greater Saskatoon has grown to a metropolis of +300,000. We could not recognize many neighborhoods. The university has expanded significantly. The campus is not only big, it is one of the most beautiful campus in Canada. Most of the buildings have historical architecture, Visitors should take a tour of the campus. Also, the South Saskatchewan River that runs through the city adds to the natural beauty of the city. There are several bridges that are tourist attractions near the downtown. There are many good restaurants in Saskatoon. We ate at Red Lobster. There are several good Mediterranean and Indian (South Asian) restaurants. Chinese restaurants in Saskatoon have a good reputation. Driving through the city is easy.

Saskatoon is always horrible to drive around compared to other cities of its size. You spend your travel time waiting at stop lights that are not coordinated. As well, left hand turns at stop lights are way too short causing long backups. So unnecessary.

I was asked to move to their executive suite for no additonal charge as I was on my own, bad mistake as the room was not too good. Furniture is very dated, no coat hangers, bath and tiles very dirty and mouldy. Cold water in the shower did not stop after a shower but this was sorted out. I was asked to turn the taps very slowly. Took $500 deposit from debit card as my credit card was in my suitcase, credit card is $150. This was a bit concerning but did get the deposit back once I checked out. Within walking distance of downtown.

The apartment was close to several bus lines and downtown. The whole apartment was very well equipped, had very comfy beds and pillows and a great work station with adjustable office chair and table. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans, utensils, appliances and even basics like salt, pepper, cooking oil, tea and coffee. The host was quick to respond and provide items I requested. A true home away from home with a great view!

I love the Alt in Saskatoon. This was the second time I've stayed there for a fairly long period (6 days). The location is convenient and the hotel is modern. I've found that it has what you need. It's also small enough that the staff get to know you — you will see the same faces in the am and at night. When I walked in the door this time, I felt as if I were coming "home" to a place that was familiar.
