Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly. Restaurant was awesome. Food there was delicious and our waiter Andrew was funny and very good at his job. He made us feel welcome
Offering an indoor swimming pool, Traveler's Inn Prince Edward Island features an on-site restaurant for dinner and lounge area for drinks. The breakfast was simple but always HOT and plenty of it. Can't complain at all. Thank you for always being happy to see us. We stayed many nights.
BBQ facilities are offered at this waterfront Summerside property. Summerside Golf and Country Club is 3.1 mi away. A cable TV and a desk are featured in all rooms at Shine Motel. If ur looking for small town and something pretty close to the bridge I would recommend this place! It was quiet, clean and the gentleman checking us in was very nice! It’s nothing fancy but a good place to lay ur head! I was happy to find a mini fridge and microwave in the room as well! Close to a beach and restaurants. Didn’t get a chance to check the town out but it looked pretty happening.
Featuring views of the Bedeque Bay, this hotel is just 3.9 mi from the city of Summerside. Free WiFi access and cable TV are included in every room and cottage at Canada's Best Value Inn & Suites. breakfast good. bed nice and comfortable. full kitchen. Clean. Located in a quiet beautiful countryside which I really like.
Holman's Heritage Suites features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Summerside, 0.8 mi from Red Shores at Summerside Raceway. Wonderful spacious accommodations in a charming historic building. The 2nd floor suite we had had ample room, a kitchen with all the necessary amenities, a roomy dining/living room, a private entrance and parking right at the door. It also offered free guest laundry, excellent wi-fi and TV service and was a few minutes walk to a good variety of restaurants. The added bonus was the ice cream parlour located on the main floor, from which wafted the aroma of freshly made waffle cones and which served some of the best in-house crafted ice cream anywhere. The staff we met was friendly and attentive. Overall, we highly recommend it and will go back when we return to the Island.
This Prince Edward Island bed and breakfast is about 10 minutes’ drive from Linkletter Provincial Park. It offers a daily breakfast, free bike rentals and unique rooms with a flat-screen TV. Excellent breakfast - lots of choices and we received a menu to choose from when we registered which we appreciated very much.
Located in Summerside, this B&B features a classic interior with hardwood floors and dark wooden furniture. Each of the airy accommodations is equipped with an LCD TV and DVD player. The couple that runs this B&B are truly wonderful people. This was our first time at a B&B and they made the experience amazing. The breakfast was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable.
Located in Summerside in the Prince Edward Island region and Red Shores at Summerside Raceway reachable within 9 miles, Bugaboo Cottages has accommodations with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and... Unusual. Unique. Lots of room. Everything we needed was there. Seasonally decorated. Cutie Pie Place. A sweet pony out back. Loved the “gas woodstove”
Clean rooms. Friendly service. Breakfast was as expected for 'inclusive'. Major Note: no elevator, so if you have heavy bags etc....you will be carrying them upstairs, if you're on the 2nd floor. First. Floor room smelt musty, but second floor room was much fresher. Not a lot of parking. Nice pool area with a mini bar for relaxing outside. Took a trip to Thundercove Beach, about 30 min from the hotel, BEAUTIFUL. Bring snacks. No bathooms at the beach. We ate at a place on the water in Summerside called The Deckhouse. Super friendly staff, amazing haddock and sweet potatoe fries. Close to everything, within 30 minute drive.
We had originally booked for accommodation in Charlottetown but because we had left it a bit late didn't find anything that really appealed. We settled on Summerside because of it being reasonably handy to the Confederation Bridge and not too far from Cavendish. With hindsight it turned out to be a great place to stay and really enjoyed the easy access to the Acadian Museum in Miscouche, and exploring the southern coastline on our way to the Acadian restaurant in Abram. We also enjoyed travelling up to the coast north-west of Summerside and then eastwards to Cavendish and on through to New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. On our final day we travelled to Charlottetown and explored the city before heading out for a delightful evening meal at Point Prim. A final plus for Summerside - the coffee we were served at Samuel's Coffeehouse is the best we've had in North America!
Don't count on the breakfast. It's ok, but not for more than 2 days. Cereal, bagels and toast. A store bought fruit salad and cafeteria style seating where you share the tables. The staff was nice and the place was clean but unless you indicate you want your room done, they don't do it. Overall, clean, low price quiet accommodation and I would go back.
I enjoyed the Wyatt's House , went to the mall cause our room wasn't ready till 5 p.m so we enjoyed the stores for sure.......We visited friends on Water Street for a great supper........was fun , we'll be back to visit more attractions for sure.
Summerside is an easy drive to all the attractions we wanted to see. We came to the island to go to the theatre in North Rustico but wanted to stay away from the more touristy areas on the north shore so we found reasonably-priced accommodations at the Shine Motel. It was a 40 minute drive to North Rustico which also took us past the Toy Factory and a few other must-see places. We spent our free time around Summerside visiting the bottle houses, watching wind-surfers from the boardwalk, sunning at Linkletter Provincial Park (what a great beach!) and discovering the amazing pizza and Mediterranean cuisine from Dino's on Water Street. The perfect short vacation spot for us.
Summerside is a cute sleepy town, perfect for a lazy evening at the waterfront. Not that horribly much to do, but grab a drink and a lobster roll at Spinnaker's Landing and just enjoy the laid-back ambiance. It is a perfect starting point to explore the North Cape Coastal Drive.
