I've stayed here 2x before and came back because it's such a lovely place in a great location - two minutes' walk from the bus station at Chandolin Poste, two minutes from the grocery shop, and with an amazing breakfast and dinner offerings. The rooms (I stayed in the bunk bed option but by myself) are very comfortable, with a great bathroom setup (rain shower!), comfy bed, water, coffee machine and pods, and lift access to the rooms. The staff are truly lovely and let us store our overnight bags before and after our stay while we went to work up on the mountain.

Erschmatt is a proper village with many locals and few tourists. The view from the terrace or from a room overlooking the valley is breathtaking. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed.

Erschmatt lies at 1200m and offers a fantastic panoramic...

Erschmatt lies at 1200m and offers a fantastic panoramic view to the south towards the Weisshorn and across the Rhone Valley. Erschmatt has an old village center with beautiful old wooden houses. An ideal starting point for hikes and excursions.
