The property is run with a broader European or US viewpoint and not the count everything mentality that prevails in many Swiss hotels. The room has good layout. Nice shower, very comfortable bed and breakfast was truly excellent. The hotel has the winning formula, please don't change what you are doing! And it is a 5 minute bus ride a few stops from Zurich Airport bus terminal with frequent service.

I do not normally give a bad review of a property but this Hotel has some issues that need addressed. Lots of construction around the Movenpick Hotel. Very noisy. They did provide pickup and drop-off at the airports. The food was not very good and either restaurant. There was food debris all over the floor of both restaurants. We were at this hotel for two nights and the floors in the eating areas were never swept. Their was a bad odor in the check in area every day...like sewer..? Both of us had the hamburger from the bar service and both of the sandwiches were undercooked. Both sandwiches had a bad flavor of maybe poor quality beef.. The lighting the our room was poor as several lamps had very very low wattage going to them so it was hard to see.

It is close to the air port and hence with tram you reach...

It is close to the air port and hence with tram you reach the airport without any taxi service and you enter the check in area and if you arrive after plane landing , the stop is at the airport and reach the hotel at the second stop called Unterriiet Glattburg

Close proximity to Airport, just a station away from airport...

Close proximity to Airport, just a station away from airport and Tram stop is across from hotel. On a previous visit I stayed in the hotel adjacent to airport but this is more affordable for budget conscious travellers who catch morning flight without hiring a taxi just by using tram.

Well flew into Zurich Airport and stayed at budget hotel, ideal for traveling around . Lots to discover when in Zurich city. You have to play your day also get a tram pass for your stay. You can hope on and off a points and places you would like visit. Visiting the old city Zurich was highlight. Tram drive down to the main hub was very nice as you went pass all different buildings. Lots to see and eat, also if you are looking for history old buildings old footpaths through the old city was great. You have to be fit. As a tourist I will be heading back. Would like to spend more time walking around the churches and find all the hidden gems in it. Enjoyed the festival that w as in the old part, main squre was great pipe bands and drummers🎉🏆

Ibis Budget hotel was nowhere near the hotel for walking.

Ibis Budget hotel was nowhere near the hotel for walking. Taxi was 17 Swiss Francs and it wasn't until daylight that the tram was best option. Do take a tram (and get on the correct one) into Zurich proper and wander around - we found a lovely cafe called Raffael's that I would highly recommend.

Not a great part of lyric to stay in if you're just there...

Not a great part of lyric to stay in if you're just there overnight. Yes, it's relatively close to the airport, but not close enough to walk there. And, it's a little bit Shady at night. There is prostitution visible on the streets.

Very near to the Zurich Airport and well connected by buses and trains. 2 train stations nearby- Opfikon (5 mins walk) and Glattbrugg (10 mins walk) that connect you to zurich main city and central station -hauptbahnhof in less than 15 minutes. It was the first hotel I have stayed in where the minibar in the room was complimentary. Great breakfast options as well. Staff were very helpful and cooperating. A good amount of restaurants and late night eateries nearby. A small minimart is also just across the street.

Ok hotel. Bit dated rooms, breakfast ok. Aircon pretty weak and room was bit hor and stuffy, Zurich temps can get very hot in summer! Airport shuttle limited hours and if using public transport at night its a 5 min walk thru unlit isolated car park. Ok value for money overall.
