Located on the edge of Gruyères, the Hôtel de Gruyères offers you quiet rooms with balconies decorated in rustic style, and free WiFi access. Everything. The location, the breakfast, the view and the helpfull staff. I had a great time and took great picture as well 😄
La Fleur de Lys is housed in a 350 year-old building right in the center of the medieval town of Gruyère, 1312 feet from Gruyère Castle, the Giger Museum and the Tibet Museum. Hotel Fleur de Lys is a charming Swiss hotel set in an historic old town. Location is great. The room was clean and comfortable, and the ambiance of the hotel delightful. Staff was great. Parking.
Located in Gruyères, 1.1 miles from Château de Gruyères, Le Saint Georges has a number of amenities including a restaurant, a bar, a garden and free WiFi. The staff and the view were exceptional. Romain from the front desk was great showing us around the property and to our room. He made us feel very important. And Clara at restaurant was great and we looked forward seeing her each time we were there.
Gruyère Rooms is located in the center of Gruyère and features a traditional Swiss restaurant with several terraces. The shop sells cheese and demonstrates traditional cheese-making techniques. Beautiful, traditional accommodation in the middle of the small but amazing town. Staff was friendly and very helpful! Room was big and comfortable and the jacuzzi and added bonus to relax with the Alps in the background.
De Ville is a charming hotel situated in a picturesque medieval village with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. It features free Wi-Fi and fine dining with renowned regional specialties. Fantastic location. Can’t get better in Gruyères - right down the street from the chateau. Lots of shops, restaurants, and beautiful views outside your door.
Located in the Piéton district of Gruyères and just 262 feet from Château de Gruyères, Au soleil de Gruyères chez Chantal provides free WiFi and mountain views. Cosy apartment in the old town of Gruyeres, with the Christmas market at our doorstep, and Chateau Gruyeres 5 minutes walk away. The bedroom window has a view of the fields surrounding the old town. It felt special to be at this modern-furnished apartment in a historical building. The owner Chantal took great care to stock up the kitchen with teas, coffees and all that are needed for cooking a nice meal. The hospitality was amazing, we were very well looked-after throughout our stay. At check-out, Chantal and Stephan made sure we were comfortably on time at the train station, with luggage and all, for our ride to the next destination. Indeed a warm, relaxing haven in the winter at Gruyeres. This will surely be our stop when we next visit this region. We discovered there is so much to explore around here, we have to come back!
Located 6 miles from Château de Gruyères and providing a terrace, La Part-Dieu provides accommodations in Gruyères. There's also a kitchen in some of the units equipped with a fridge. La Part Dieu is ideal place for having quite, fairy-tale like holidays. We enjoyed being surrounding by nature (and a lot of snow) and the beautiful old buildings of the monastery. The apartment is simple, very clean and has a nice atmosphere. The kitchen has almost all the necessary things needed for cooking and we enjoyed eating there. It felt very cozy. Our 3-years old son was really thrilled having this big yard to play with the snow and observe the animals (chickens, ducks, deers). Gruyeres and other interesting places to visit are very close.
Charming chalet with panoramic view in GRUYERE is located in Gruyères, 2.7 miles from Château de Gruyères, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. Very rustic and charming chalet which feels homely and is well equipped. Has everything you need. A very short drive into Gruyères and a walk down to the ski lift.
Located just next to Broc’s train and bus stations, Hôtel de Ville offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. There is an on-site restaurant and a café-bar. Good breakfast , ideal , peaceful location with view on the mountains, restaurant with excellent food and friendly staff
Great location, easy parking. The room was clean. The room was clearly the worst room in the hotel, facing the parking lot so it was extremely loud, when the cars were leaving. It seemed like the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything. The staff was not very friendly and clearly did not care for us as guests, I needed to ask extra times for information about what to do and see around. Not very good value for money in my opinion
Picturesque old town, pleasant castle, traditional cheese based menu’s available at multiple restaurants. Very pastoral and serene countryside with views of valleys and mountains. Helicopter sightseeing flight from Gruyere airport with SwissHelicopter was fantastic (defined packages available but can in-effect charter the helicopter by the minute to customise your experience... cheaper than you might expect!). The pilot was fabulous, and the views wonderful.
Gruyeres is a picturesque small village that can be toured in a morning or afternoon. We had a fondue dinner at Hotel de Ville and breakfast at Auberge de la Halle - both highly recommended. Parking is outside of the village and all is accessible on foot, equivalent in size to 2-3 large city blocks. Especially liked the castle and Giger bar (did not tour the museum).
We went to visit the HR Giger museum. But the village is very popular with tourists from all over the world. Everyone was very friendly. I would imagine it’s a good base to visit other areas. We got a bus very easily to Moléson so getting around was simple. We only stayed one night so didn’t get to see lots. It’s a beautiful village but that does mean lots of tourists who come in time for lunch we found. I would imagine if you didn’t book a table for lunch you might wait. By dinner we found everyone had left so was much quieter. We stayed early October so might be different other time’s of the year
Every time we return to Gruyeres we find another hidden gem that we've missed before. Explore as much as possible this lovely Castle and old town. Raclette and Fondue are available everywhere as well as traditional Swiss and French dishes. The ice cream is wonderful! Consider exploring more than the main street. You will not be disappointed!
Fantastic homely hotel, clean and very comfortable Amazing views Friendly staff Looked forward to going back there in the evenings! Patio area perfect for evening drinks and coffees beautiful mountain view Would have preferred air con as it was very very hot
Chantal und Stéphane are great hosts. Very cosy and stylish room including a good bed in the historical town of Gruyères, very warm welcome, all information you could need made available and big breakfast on request in the restaurant next door. Thank you!
The room was very spacious and quaint! Very comfortable stay. I was grateful that they allowed me to store my luggage before check in and after check out, as there were no storage lockers at the Gruyères train station.
Cute hotel on the edge of Gruyeres. Small rooms, but clean and comfortable. The spa facilities are fantastic. We had a massage and used the sauna and it was a wonderful experience.
Very rustic and charming chalet which feels homely and is well equipped. Has everything you need. A very short drive into Gruyères and a walk down to the ski lift.
It is in the center of the Gruyeres mid-evil village. Great location . Valentine at reception is very nice and the check in was easy .
We loved the friendliness of the staff, the rooms were very comfortable and the food was delish.
Loved the wonderful location and interior of the hotel
The hotel is located in the Main Street of Gruyeres. Beautiful rustic decor and very nice comfortable rooms. the staff was very helpful and the breakfast had everything you need!
Vegan possible! Upon our request, the chef bought vegan breakfast the day before. The room was nice, with a view of the flatlands.
The location is excellent and the staff is very attentive
