Loved this spot, wonderful customer service, lively atmosphere right outside the hotel, excellent affordable grocery store right beside to resupply for hiking, excellent location for hikers on the Haute Route. Clean. Spacious. Has character (w/ awesome free public valley VIP bus/gondolla pass all the way to Fionnay).

The owner was just perfect. I felt like at home there.

Super comfy bed, great breakfast and friendly staff

The property was great! The breakfast was lovely and it was extremely friendly. When I arrived early, they took my friend and I bags to our room and were so helpful in calling us a taxi and getting us the cheapest one. Then, after a great breakfast, the manager of the hotel saw I was walking to a bus stop and extremely kindly drove me to the stop himself so I wouldn’t have to walk. The staff were all exceptional and the facilities were great. I would definitely love to come back here!

Stay for two nights in early January. Simple accommodation but perfect for our (father/son) needs. A small charming hotel in a small town at high elevations. We booked it at the last minute when we decided to stop at Verbier to ski for a day on our trip (20m to the lower lift that takes one to Verbier). The bathroom was supposed to be shared among the 3 or 4 rooms, but we never ran into anyone. The hosts were helpful, the breakfast was great, and we recommend the hotel.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are so well decorated, the spa is a real treat and the breakfast is just exceptional. Everything feels cozy and high-end at the same time, which is a sign of a true gem.

This was without a doubt the best hotel experience of our lives. Staff so friendly and helpful, helped us find where to watch the world cup and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was delightful and nutritious and fresh, the restaurant was unbelievably delicious. The decor unreal (who painted that yeti in the basement??? I'm obsessed), the bed and linen so cozy, the view once in a lifetime. Balcony, windows, rain shower, malin+Goetz shower stuff. What a luxury. The housekeeping deserves its own prayer --- I've never seen a cleaner more organized room. They organized my pile of coins by size!!! I could go on and on. Thank you a million times.

Everything! I travelled with my daughters and their friend to spend several days skiing around opening day in Verbier, and also in Zermatt, and what a delight! The staff made this trip exceptional - and helped me arrange so much (rentals, shopping, parking, dinner reservations, etc). The chalet itself is so quaint and beautiful. They have remodeled the rooms and mine was beautiful, with a balcony that overlooked the town and mountains. My daughters were in a “family room” which was perfect since they also had a friend along - they essentially had a suite - two bedrooms and a bathroom. Wonderful! The chalet/hotel has a WONDERFUL restaurant and chef. Breakfast was amazing, and dinners in the hotel after a day of skiing were so cozy and warm - we had fondue both nights, along with other traditional Swiss dishes. The location is perfect - The hotel is a couple blocks from the Medran lifts up the mountain for skiing, and two blocks from downtown shopping. Staying here reminded me of what family owned chalets much have been like long ago - where you are treated like family by the proprietor, and everyone wants you to feel welcomed and cared for. We loved all of it. There was even free parking next to the hotel. I can’t say enough about how nice the staff was to me and my family! The entire experience was so charming. We loved it!

Amazing summer time stay at No 14. Everything was perfect and I felt at home. The service, food, and accommodation levels were above all expectations and comparable to many of the best 5 star hotels. Felt truly cared for and had so much fun meeting other guests. Looking forward to returning next summer!

The family who owns the hotel is very welcoming and made me feel like part of their family. They were responsive to any of my questions and we communicated via WhatsApp whenever I needed anything. Breakfast was plentiful with local cheeses, bread, croissant and other breakfast items and fruits.

Hotel Vanessa was perfectly situated in the center of town, close to restaurants, shops and the mountain. The staff were responsive, friendly and hospitable. The spacious rooms created a relaxed and comfortable environment for our entire family. Highly recommend Hotel Vanessa. We will most definitely return!
