Located on the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil region, Hotel Télécabine is right next to the ski elevators of the Les Crosets’ Ski Area. The hotel is very well located about 30 meters from the main ski lifts, and you can ski in and out from within 10 meters from the ski room. The management was a bit awkward in the beginning, and it took about 2 days for them to know us and then they were really friendly. So in the beginning we felt a bit strange but in the end it was almost like being family guests.
Built in the style of an Alpine chalet, the ski-in-ski-out Hotel l’Etable is located in Les Crosets in the Portes du Soleil ski region, at the foot of the ski slopes and only 98 feet from the ski... Nice, clean room with a wonderful view on the mountains. Very quiet, well isolated. Parking space in the hotel.
Located at 5.5 feet above sea level, Hôtel des Portes du Soleil offers ski-to-door access and is just 328 feet from the chair elevator in Les Crosets. Great location, very pleasant staff, nice food, clean, rooms with a view to the slopes. Suitable for families with small children, We will come back for sure :)
Appartement Noécie is located in Les Crosets and offers a terrace. The property is 19 miles from Vevey, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. The apartment was perfect, all newly renovated and in great condition. Excellent location, ski in/ski out. Everything within walking distance.
Chalet Les Rhodos appartement le Yeti is a characteristic Alpine-style apartment offering ski-to-door access and breathtaking views of the Dents du Midi Mountain Range and Les Crosets. Central location with an easy traverse down to the ski lifts each day. Well equipped kitchen with everything needed for our self-catering stay including a huge selection of coffee making options and a brand new Nespresso machine. The beds were comfortable (disclosure: we like firm mattresses and these were somewhat softer, but still very comfortable).
Great starting point for access into Porte due Soliel area with just one chairlift taking you to run down to Avoriaz. Les Crosets itself is a small village with a lack of amenities, so be prepared for high eating out costs and with only a small shop, choices are limited. In that sense, staying in Champery may be the better option with just one cable car to get you up to the ski area each morning. But if you're looking for easy access with great views and charm, Les Crosets is definitely a good choice if staying in Swiss side. Transport is also very easy with a train from Geneva airport with just one change at Aigle to perform. The bus from Val D'Illiez takes you straight to village.
This is great place to stay, about 200m from the lifts to a Port du Soleil. There are a few restraunts, exclusive to less expensive and a couple of bars. I would say the Swis side is more London Prices where as France is that plus 10% a bit cheaper than France. No issues skiing into France.
Good access to Portes du Soleil ski area with wide selection of ski runs. Suitable for all levels of skier. Not a huge choice of restaurants but the ones that are there, all served really nice food and staff were friendly. It’s a small resort so you can easily walk from one side to the other in 10-15 minutes so whichever hotel you stay in, you have good access to the slopes and ski hire shops.
Our daughter 20 and our son 18 stayed at L'Etable Hotel in Les Crosets and absolutely loved it ... the reason to go there was to hit the mountain bike tracks and do some hiking and enjoying hot pools ... what they found was absolutely amazing mountain bike tracks everywhere and easy accessible ... the hiking and scenery extremely nice ... the town is very small so for shopping you'd have to go to Champery but they didn't need to as the food at the hotel was outstanding and good value :-)
A fantastic area for skiing! A relitavley small village/town baised around skiing. It’s very easy to get around as it’s a small place everything was in walking distance. We ate at mountain lodge and letable both were good (pizza is highly recommended). During the day we also stopped off at some of the on piste cafes cookies from cookie cafe/bar are a must!
Les Crosets is the highest of the ski villages on the Swiss side which assures good snow. No matter where you stay you will be close to a lift. Stay here if you are focused on skiing, for charm, food, bars or after-ski there’s better places on the French side. The village is very small and only a handfull of restaurants, lEtable and Chez Nelly were the best. No bars, other than the one at Mountain Lodge, which was nice and relaxing.
The location was fantastic. Looking right onto the hub of Les Crosets station with three lifts to take you off into the mountains. Evening food was great (we learned quickly to follow the "skiers plate - dish of the day"). Breakfast did exactly what you'd expect and filled the family up for the day ahead. Staff were very friendly and accommodating....had a family vibe which we appreciated. Ski room available.
Beautiful views, very friendly staff and nice food. The hotel is c.10 mins drive / 30 mins walk from Les Crosets. It’s also possible to ski in and out, although it takes a bit of work to reach the main ski lift area by skis (we didn’t mind, but might be tough for a beginner). The place is a very popular ski lunch spot (for a good reason - the food is very nice) as well. Overall definitely recommended!
