Very charming! Both the hotel and the dependence are beautifully-restored historic buildings in the center of the village. We stayed in the dependance, which is around the corner (next to the Hotel Suisse). The room was large and impeccably clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was and modern. There are common spaces on the second and third floor, which would come in handy for an extended stay (sort of like a lobby area). Breakfast was wonderful! We also had dinner in the hotel which was very good.

Loved everything about my stay here. It felt like a home away from home. The owners and staff went above and beyond in making sure their guests have a wonderful stay. The building was cozy and felt like a home. The room was spacious, clean and warm. The towels were new, fluffy and fresh. Bottled water was also available on the floor, but the tap water tasted mountain fresh. The property is very quiet and I slept really well. The lodge downstairs was also warm and inviting and offered guests a delicious charcuterie board with local meats and cheeses as a nice welcome. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and I loved the lodge-like feel of the dining room. The reception, lodge and dining room staff were very friendly and kind. It’s difficult to find this level of attention to detail at hotels these days. I know that the owners care for their guests and put extra effort towards making them feel at home. I was sad to leave, but I hope I’ll return someday. Poschiavo is a little gem and the hotel made the stay all the more wonderful.

This property had some of the nicest staff we have come across in our travels. I was experiencing a health issue during our stay and they were so sweet. The chef even made me a special soup that was easy on my stomach. Breakfast was good.

Poschiavo is tranquil and serene place.

Poschiavo is tranquil and serene place. Small town but big enough to walk if you want a calm quiet moment. I found this place is a bit cheaper to eat in the restaurant than in places like zermatt. Quality of food is better and delectable. It’s walkable town. I will come back next time I go again in Switzerland.

The borge (town centre) is very beautiful (and quiet, as it is almost car-free). Many interesting sights, small workshops, museums, cultural and architectural things to see and explore. Friendly people. Once you have seen it all, start exploring the whole of the valley that offers everything from the Bernina Hospizio down to Tirano in Valtalina vallley. There is something for everybody for every season, be it mountain-biking or discussing local literature experiences and tasting the regional bio-food surprises.....

Lots of interesting architecture, pretty villas and palazzos. Museums not open in the winter which is a shame. Great to use as stop-over on the Bernina train line. Lovely surroundings and not overly touristy. Some very nice looking restaurants although not a lot was open in February.

Poschiavo in February was quiet and beautiful.

Poschiavo in February was quiet and beautiful. Coming in and out on the train with a view of the lake and the whole valley was an incredible experience. It was lovely to stroll through the town at night and in the sun and get a true feel for the culture in the region in the midst of incredible natural beauty. The lamb in the Restaurant of the Hotel Centrale was excellent!

I felt like home away from home in Val Poschiavo from the get go. Aurelio and Ursula have an immaculate and comfortable place among the divine Palazzo gardens, exactly where we wanted to be. A short stroll from all the major attractions of the village, and for our visit to the fabulous Swiss alpine herbs festival. We enjoyed the large living space and bathroom, comfy bedroom and extra thanks for the coffee machine ;-)

An astonishing Grand hotel with a very great service - we just enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Prese so much! The restaurant is gorgeous and the location is stunning, the personnel is very kind and helpful. The Spa area is for free and can be booked for an hour per day. The rooms are very clean. We will surely come back! :-) Thank you Hotel Le Prese!

We stayed in the annexe, which suited us well being conveniently located, yet outside the busy area (although Poschiavo is a quiet place). Not characterful like the main hotel but self-contained, spacious, and easy to come and go. Comfortable bed, well-sized shower room. Friendly welcome.

Value for money. Location in 'suburb' of Poschiavo, close to a small bar where basic meals are served. Good public transport: bus to Poschiavo, trains to Poschiavo and further. Water cooker in the room.
