Quaint, clean, rustic with modern amenities. Roger is the best host I have ever had! I was there in the “off” season , Roger showed me to my room , gave me all the information of what was open in town etc. I was the only guest at the time and was still prepared a buffet breakfast!

We felt right at home from the first moment! The views are amazing, the staff is very welcoming and always helpful and the rooms are clean and cozy! Make sure you try the Flower Soup!! We never ate anything tastier than it. We hope to come back soon!

Small, cozy city, good as a base to some spectacular hikes ( close to Rigi, Stoos, Grosse Mythen and so on). City itself very picturesque. Good restaurants. We have been to La Piazetta and Divan - both we really enjoyed. There is a mall with supermarket, bakery, clothing and shoe stores and even a pharmacy. Highly recommend.

Very pretty, clean town , nearby lakes , boat trips, mountains for short or long hiking, cable cars, chairlifts, the steepest unique funicular in the world up mount Stoos with beautiful panoramas. Hölloch, a massive cave for exploring.

Schwyz kind of has most anything you would want as an...

Schwyz kind of has most anything you would want as an outdoors person. There is hiking, skiing, cycling (road/gravel/mountain bike), running, a large lake close by.... and more. There are various restaurants of all types, a couple of bars in the middle of downtown for afternoon cocktails, shopping on a somewhat small scale, etc. One of the best things everyone can enjoy is the scenery.

Schwyz offers many interesting things.

Schwyz offers many interesting things. There are countless attractions in the immediate and surrounding area (especially mountain railways and lifts). Fortunately, there's also plenty of cultural activity. It's worth having a car with you.

Schwyz is the capital of the canton of the same name.

Schwyz is the capital of the canton of the same name. It's much more authentic than the touristy Brunnen, where you'll find nice restaurants and charming shops, and it boasts a stunning view of Lake Lucerne.

The town has some historic buildings.

The town has some historic buildings. You can see them in a day. The town center is about a 20-minute walk from the train station; for those who don't like walking, take bus line 501 or 508. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise, it's a charming little town with restaurants (not always open). Bus 508 takes you to Brunnen on Lake Lucerne in about 15 minutes. Beautiful Central Switzerland.

The staff were amazing. The room was modern, well thought out and spacious. It's a small hotel but the breakfast was very good and substantial. Early check in was possible as the room was ready. The area was serene, old world charm with mountain views. Great place to stay for visiting Stoos which is a bus ride away. Will stay here again next time.

The apartment is really spacious, has a balcony with an amazing view over the mountains and is located 10 minutes walking distance from the center of the village of Schwyz. There is also a free parking for the car. We were 4 so we had 2 bedrooms opened, but I guess that there is the possibility to come with a bigger group!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a nice location, easy to reach and the pub is very cosy and fun. They have several board games and also darts. Bed was comfortable and for a 1 night stay the room is okay.
