  • Backstage Hotel Serviced Apartments

    Backstage Hotel Serviced Apartments

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Backstage Hotel Serviced Apartments offers pet-friendly accommodations in Zermatt. Every room has a TV with satellite channels. Marvellous apartment for two couples to hang out and enjoy the scenery. We stayed at the Blue apartment. The artistic interior and views made this a special place. We were picked up by electrical car from the train station and an elevator opens directly into the apartment. Delicious regional breakfast is served at the designated time. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the living room and terrace invite for leisure time. We also visited the spa and cinema at the main house of the hotel. Both extraordinary. Especially the spa with the 7 rooms resembling the genesis are noteworthy. At the cinema we watched "Menschen am Matterhorn", a documentary from the artist's father and learned a great deal more about Zermatt's origins. We didn't want to leave this apartment and will happily come back if we have the chance.

    Zermatt Budget Rooms

The spacious Zermatt Budget Rooms are underground and come with free WiFi and TV, a 5-minute walk away from the Sunnegga Cable Car and the Glacier Express. The room was quite big and everything was comfortable. We had our own kitchen and fridge so it was nice to save some money by buying groceries at the COOP market in town.

  • Matterhorn Lodge Hotel & Appartements

    Matterhorn Lodge Hotel & Appartements

Opened in December 2012, Hotel Matterhorn Lodge is located in the historic center of Zermatt. Decorated in a classic Alpine style, it features a wellness area with 3 different saunas. Everything about this hotel suited us perfectly. The room was spacious and really well appointed (although providing a refrigerator would make is super perfect). The bathroom toiletries were of really nice quality, the décor is beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. Lea and Ruth were charming and helpful and had left us a very helpful note with our room key when we arrived at a time when the reception area was unattended. We could have called for help but did not need to. We love this unobtrusive kind of service! Ruth came and introduced herself to us and we had a couple of very nice chats with her about the hotel and the local area. The hotel was very quiet, as we were there between the summer and winter seasons and the hotel was shortly to close down for a couple of months but that suited us fine. It was great to not be in the main street, but we were very close to the English Church and the old part of town, with only short walks to the main street, railway and cable car systems. We highly rate the hotel, would recommend it to anyone and would love to return.

Cozy Gem At the Foot of Matterhorn

A beautiful car-free village in the Swiss Alps, Zermatt is world-famous for its skiing and mountaineering qualities. Standing in the shadow of the impressive Matterhorn, this is a true Alpine paradise, popular with both celebrities and citizens of all nationalities.

Surrounded by stunning mountains and plenty of hiking trails, Zermatt offers more than just pretty views. And in Zermatt, there is still even more!

This lovely village is a great base for hiking on the nearby Breithorn, the easiest trek of the entire Alps, rewarding the effort with a great panorama of the snow-covered mountain tops and charming villages below.

Try mountain biking in the Zermatt area and after a very active day relax in one of the cozy restaurants and bars with an open fire and comfortable armchairs. Or just have a stroll down the main street and enjoy the view of the wooden chalets and do some window shopping.
