Melipeuco is a very small town, the trips around it are awesome. You need a car, better a 4 x 4. Trekkings are great, I went to spend a day at the beach at Lago Icalma, beautiful. Conguillio is a national park , incredible place. Food at Sueños de Montaña was great.

A good location for those who enjoy rural surroundings with an interest in wildlife, trees, cycling or walking. Interesting features nearby include volcanic relics and a superb waterfall as well as hiking trails. Melipeuco was larger than expected and a decent source of supplies. Recommended.
