I absolutely loved the friendly staff at Calma de Rita. Even though English is not their first language, they did their absolute best to communicate with me and were always friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the rural setting and the unique style of the accommodation. It’s very different from the typical hotels you get used to in the big city, and definitely worth a visit if you enjoy a more rustic, rural way of life. I also had the opportunity to meet the owner and share a few stories, which made the stay feel even more personal. I will definitely be going back to explore the area some more, as my time was a little limited on this visit. The jacuzzi was divine and just the right temperature for the cool spring evenings! The food was another highlight. Really top-notch, with wonderful flavours and a lot more character than some of the rather bland food I experienced at the big city hotels. Overall, I felt very comfortable and right at home. Coming from a rural background myself, I really appreciated the atmosphere, the people and the setting. I would happily visit again.
