Great resort/hotel next to Changbai mountain. The hotel provides a shuttle to the Chanbaishan high-speed train station. Visit to Tianchi lake are possible whenever weather allows it, the hotel is very close to the entrance and has a shuttle to drop you off /pick you up at the entrance. The whole return trip can be done in 3 hours. 2 restaurants. Hot spring inside the hotel are a nice plus.

when I visited it was not crowded but the facility was...

when I visited it was not crowded but the facility was hosted to accommodate large amount of tourists, welcome the people, guide to busses, carry from one point to another, pick up from different stations. on the other hand, hiking trails were closed to service and in each station there was app 1 (one in written) KM long walking distance available to visit and see. this is far from sufficient and ridiculously small amount of number to sightsee. Changbaishan is NOT anymore a hiking destination if you try to buy ticket and follow instructions for tourists.
