Our stay at this charming hotel near the Great Wall was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable—always friendly, attentive, and full of helpful recommendations about the local area, things to do, and the history of the hotel. The hotel itself had a lovely, tranquil vibe. Everywhere you looked, there were beautiful dried flowers and lush plants that created a calming and welcoming atmosphere. It felt like a little oasis after a day of exploring the Great Wall. We stayed in the family suite, which was spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to relax. The highlights of our stay were definitely the unique experiences offered by the hotel—making dumplings with the staff was a fun and memorable activity, and the homemade wines were an absolute treat! This hotel is a hidden gem with amazing staff, a serene atmosphere, and a perfect location for those wanting to experience the Great Wall in a more intimate, local way. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this place for 6 nights. The place is beautiful and very quiet. You can see Great Wall from the terrace. The host was very kind and helpful at all times. Everyday we were excited for the breakfast, cause the host cooked something different everyday and everything was delicious!. One night he showed us how to cook Chinese noodles and we had dinner together. We are very satisfied with our stay here.

We were so impressed by how gracious and helpful all the staff were. They treated us like family! We are American and speak very little Mandarin. But the staff responded immediately to messages in English, arranged a car from the train station, took us to and from the Great Wall, and even let us stay later in our room so we could freshen up before we left for Beijing. We will be back!

Hosts were so kind and friendly! The host husband picked us up from the airport and drove us to the hotel for a reasonable rate. Rooms were exceptionally clean. Breakfast was delicious and filling for our trek at the great wall. Our hosts purchased our tickets for us and we paid them back. The hosts were generous about the checkout process as well and we got a ride to Beijing for a reasonable rate as well. Highly recommend staying here! Thank you so much, we appreciated our stay.

First of all, the owner is really helpful and friendly. The location is great, just a few minutes to the Mutianyu Great Wall main entrance. The room is good with mountain views. The food at the guesthouse is tasty 😋 The owner helped us book the ticket and drop-off at the main entrance. After we came back from the great Great Wall, the owner also pick up us at the main entrance back to homestay. They are very kind, allowed us to use their kitchen facilities (we cooked thai food), and we had so much fun conversations with the owner in the kitchen. I saw many cooking techniques from her, really skillful 👍👍 She cooked Gong pao chicken, fried rice and stir-fried tomatoes with eggs for our dinner. I really love it, it was a tasty local food. And the food is more yummy when we can connect to local people and feel all local senses. The next morning, she cooked dumpling with eggs and vegetables for us....yessss it was yummy 😋. Upon checkout, she walked to the bus stop with us and waited until the bus arrived, I really appreciated it. Pity, this time I stay here only one night. I definitely come back to this place as I have a plan to visit Jian Kou great wall. And of course, I will stay at this Homestay again. Thank you so much for such an amazing hospitality. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. She called us when we got lost, found us, picked us up, and dropped us off at the Mutianyu Great Wall entrance. The entrance to the Great Wall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and very easy to get to. If you get up early you can beat the crowds from Beijing who arrive around 9:00 am. We had the Great Wall almost to ourselves! Breakfast was Chinese style and excellent. They also make great dinner upon request. The host was quick to respond to any of the requests we had. Rooms have recently been constructed and are clean and spacious.
