The local people are friendly and warm. Check out the Salt Cathedral it’s a world class attraction . There’s any cuisine you want in the city. My first time visiting Colombia and I am so glad I am here. Going to Medellin tomorrow via a domestic flight of which there are many.

I love the climate, the friendly people and the food. The neighborhood restaurants are really nice and great value, especially Azul in Chapinero. Traffic can be a problem due to exhaust, noise and jams - it'll be great when the metro is built out - but that's not a showstopper.

Get around was pretty easy but can became very expensive with all the taxis one needs to take in order to get around. the average cost per ride is about $15,000 peso. With that said there is a lot to see, and to do.
The big letdown for me, and keep in mind that this is my only option, and that was that hype of see the Catedral de Sal just wasn't all that spectacular to me. Therefore, I found it be very simple as well as boring, and a waste of time and money.

Colombia gets a bad rep in terms of the safety of visiting, but I can assure if you have common sense it will be fine. Just don't flaunt your jewelry or accessories, and only take out your phone when needed. Always check your surroundings. If you can do that you'll be fine.
On to the good things about Bogota - easy to navigate in the metro, delicious food, lots of things to explore, and my favorite everything is so affordable. My uber trips started at .72 cents and maxed out at about $7. Would suggest Bogota to any of my friends or family. Will be back soon.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Bogotá
The hotel is conveniently located close to Bogotá Airport, making it easy to find the hotel and access. Despite being a luxury hotel, the rates were affordable, offering great value for money. The hotel facilities include a gym, swimming pool, and sauna, providing nice opportunities for exercise and relaxation in the evening. The staff were friendly, and the view from the hotel room is excellent, making the stay pleasant and refreshing.
Location was great for early flights however my room wasnpt very clean and they completely forgot to clean my room one day. I had no sign on my door anything and spent all day exploring Bogota only to arrive to an uncleaned room late at night. It’s a practical hotel but really not the nicest. The staff is friendly but very very slow when checking in. A plus is the free shuttle to the airport though
Fernando and his wife were very friendly. Even I was late due to waiting passport line at the airport, they were waiting me. They always answered my all questions via phone. The Hotel is in the center of Bogota and close to everywhere. There are security 7/24 at the entrance of the building
I stayed at this hotel to spend the night between flights.
Located in a nice area, midway from the airport and downtown Bogotá.
Basic, but nice room decor.
Free shuttle to the airport (every hour, though), around 15 min from/to the airport without traffic.
Fast check-in and check-out.
Very good traditional Colombian Breakfast. Amazing antique collection. The building is over 200 years old and was originally a house , now converted into a hotel. 3 minutes walk to Botero Museum, Plaza de Bolivar and many restaurants
